Around 12:45 pm, the Nifty IT index was trading flat at 14,611 with Infibeam Avenues (up 0.69 percent) and Infosys (up 1.40 percent) as gainers in the index.
At the season of composing this report, the Indian rupee was trading flat. The Indian money opened 15 paise higher against the US dollar today. A greater part of index segments, including KPIT Technologies (down 2.99 percent) and Mindtree (down 1.91 percent), were acquiring losses in the light of weakness in rupee.
Domestic equity market was in the positive zone on picks up, driven by bank, metal, auto and FMCG stocks. Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.05 percent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.03 percent) were exchanging level around that time.
ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, ITC, Axis Bank and Mahindra and Mahindra were among the key drivers of a rally in the market.
Shares of HCL Technologies (down 0.44 percent), Tata Elxsi (down 1.48 percent), Wipro (down 0.20 percent) and Tech Mahindra (down 1.19 percent) too were under pressure.
NSE Benchmark Nifty50 index was active 18 points at 11,468, though the BSE Sensex was up 130 points at 38,018.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were exchanging the green, while 30 were in the red.
In Thursday’s session, more than 30 stocks, including Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finance, Aarti Industries, Excel Industries, Bharat Rasayan, Exide Industries and GMM Pfaudler, hit 52-week highs on NSE, a reported by India Times.
Then again, Byke Hospitality, DPSC, Jet Airways (India), ABG Shipyard, Indian Terrain Fashions, Pricol, Raj Television Network and Todays Writing Instruments remained among the 24 stocks that contacted 52-week lows in Thursday’s trade up until now.
