The latest report has come up with the details of top cryptocurrency foundations along with their ICO list, holding an estimated amount of 2.6 billion USD. However, all ICOs are not performing well in 2018.
In the latest report, the top five project teams with their cryptocurrency foundations that have been highlighted along with their ICO performances. The data has been shared by a report in Diar and the five foundations have earned about 2.6 billion USD in token holdings.
The report shares that Tron holds approximately 46 percent of the holdings. The list has a mention of the foundations like Cardano, Tezos, NEO, Tron, and IOTA (Mentioned here in random order).
However, apparently, Tron has about thirty-three billion TRX in locked account till the year 2020 and burned one billion tokens. Meanwhile, NEO has managed to release fifteen million from their kitty. Although there have been several prestigious crypto foundations, many Initial Coin Offerings introduced in 2018 are not performing up to the mark.
Although it is true that ICOs or Initial Coin Offerings have gone up by double in 2018 as compared to their performance last year, the fund-raising vehicle has been witnessing declining popularity with only select projects doing well. The number crunching done by Diar highlighted the fact that about 70 percent of the tokens are valued now at a reduced price as compared to the value during their ICO, the Daily Hodl noted.
Crypto Markets Bearish In 2018
The crypto and ICO market of 2018 has been by and large bearish. Yet, many investors have made a hefty investment of about 12 billion USD into the Initial Coin offerings. However, returns from quite a few have not been actually stellar, which is hardly surprising to many.
Meanwhile, the ICO list comprises of only 17 projects finishing off the fundraising round in the month of August, a 1-year low. Diar has also reported that the pre-sales and public ICO activity may not see much of a difference for the remaining month of 2018.
