Cryptocurrency was created following the 2008 banking crisis. Now in 2023 we are facing another banking crisis. Crypto such as BCH can and should serve a purpose and be a hedge against the banking sector that is currently imploding.

The Fed Pivot is Officially here!
Pre SVB (2 weeks ago) FED indicated that 50bps was on the table.
But now with the realization that QT is starting to break things, within a matter of days a pause was on the table.
A 25bps increase, while removing language of ongoing rate hikes and trying to sell the idea that bank failures is actually a good thing in fighting inflation was merely to save some credibility on the inflation fight, and it's comical.
The back stopping of banks is QE and will add to inflation pressures while now also with lower rate hikes.
Soon financial stability will be the feds perceived greatest danger and will be forced to abandon the 2% inflation target, why likely adding additional facilities of QE.
UK inflation is back over 10% after a broad consensus that inflation had peaked there. US won't be far behind on setting new inflation highs.

Someone just liquidated their BCHG holdings in 1 market sell down to .56 per share or a BCH price of $63. Did coinflex have BCHG shares as well? Or is everyone panic selling with Coinflex 100k sBCH selloff?
Bitcoin as world reserve currency
Do you think Bitcoin will take over as the world reserve currency and replace the US Dollar? It seems that the destruction of the US dollar as the world reserve currency is inevitable. I guess it's just a matter of when and not if?

I went to the supermarket here in Venezuela and paid directly with Bitcoin
Hi guys, as you probably know I'm Venezuelan living here. Yesterday I had the chance of doing some purchases in a supermarket and paying directly in Bitcoin. This was the purchase: You say to the cashier you want to pay in cryptocurrency and their system shows them a selection: The amount is shown in Bolivares (Bs.) so 725 Bs. so 30 USD (exchange rate is 1 USD 24.2 Bs.) They say they will add more crypto and BTC LN. After selecting bitcoin and and continue (Continuar) it shows the amount in bitcoin After that it shows a QR code, you scan it and have to wait for at least one confirmation after you get one confirmation (mine took several minutes) the cashier press payment received and I suppose it checks one blockchain explorer for one confirmation or pending transaction that matches the amount. If it matches it says payment received and receipt is printed. I noticed each time you press continuar a new QR code gets generated, so new or different address. I used Trust Wallet and the fee was 1.36 USD. Receipt is shown in Bolivares, but that is common here even if you pay with USD, Euros or any currency the invoice will be printed in Bolivares. Experience was good overall, but in this case I paid a little more, something to improve. You have to remember that here the economy is destroyed:

BCH is the Silver of the Crypto World
Under appreciated, has extraordinary utility, shorted and manipulated to a price point well below its intrinsic value. And like Silver, BCH has tremendous upside if shorts are squeezed and have to cover their position.
TLDR; Move your BCH off exchanges so it's harder to short sell against.

Argument that Bitcoin is code and will be obsolete
Had a debate with a friend who has the conviction that Bitcoin will just become obsolete or cease to function after some software update or innovation. Compared it to extinct programming languages. I explained the network effect, that anybody could write a node client in any language and it would be compatible if it follows the protocol, and the protocol depends on consensus of the decentralized network. Also how the internet continues to exist and function through innovations and deprecated hardware/software. Not sure how else to get this point across.

Over 4mill members here and most wish they had a way to trade bitcoin p2p with cash or without any exchanges and kyc
Cant we come up with some way to do this? Like maybe how they do in r pmsforsale or create some sort of escrow service through trusted community members or maybe physical regular meetups organised by us where you can pay cash for bitcoin and vice versa in a secure environment so you don’t get robbed.
