For the US government?
For Bitcoin prices?
For merchants?
For average Americans?
Original tweet: https://twitter.com/jackmallers/status/1507053436096978946?s=20&t=81jk_vZwoWteVAC4x4tlgg Image shows Whole Foods, Starbucks, Best Buy, Target, CVS, etc. The tweet says the following: "With #Bitcoin as the monetary network, the financial system will be cheaper, faster, more innovative, and more inclusive. Two weeks ..." Possibly this will be announced during Bitcoin conference. [link] [comments] |
Do you think Satoshis stash is there specifically for when the legacy grip gets too tight? At some point I expect Satoshis stash to become a bitcoin money changer to final adoption. Whomever controls the wallet will “give away” the whole balance to whomever can make an exchange with it. Then essentially burning the fiat sent to it.
Just a thought experiment.

A great achievement for the entire Bitcoin Cash community in the world! We continue to add large franchises to the adoption of Bitcoin Cash in Venezuela and soon in Latam. Without a doubt, a leading company in the commercialization of construction items in Venezuela with multiple branches nationwide. Im selling my Laptop on Ebay. this dude contacted me, saying he wants to come by and buy it. thing is, he said he wants to pay in Bitcoin. Im very new to all this stuff so Im wondering, could this be a possible scam? I mean he will be here, right in front of me and I only give him the laptop as soon as the transfer is complete but Im wondering if there could be some malicious intention behind it? something I need to watch out for when doing this?
I know there are a lot of people buying stuff with bitcoin these days but I just wanted some feedback from someone more experienced. maybe this is a well known scam or something.
As the title says, how can a normal person participate? Is it even open to normal people?
This is excellent news for the all Bitcoin Cash community in the world, because with this alliance we break borders and expand the use of BCH in Venezuelan tourism and beyond ✈️ We want foreigners to come to our country to discover beautiful landscapes and destinations, in addition to being able to make purchases in multiple commercial establishments with BCH. I want to get a BCH wallet. I have a SafePal right now. How are the gas fees for BCH?
I've got an 8 year old CPU(i5-4690k) and 12 year old GPU(AMD HD6850) and I managed to save up to buy 1 BCH when it dropped in January(then it dropped more) so I hope BCH becomes worth at least $1000 so I can buy parts to bring my computer to modern standards
What do you plan on buying when the price goes up?
I will be using Fulcrum to create an SPV server for both BTC and BCH. Now as I am done with BTC, I installed Bitcoin Cash full node implementation in the form of BU. Although the look in windows is quite similar to Bitcoin Core, I can't find the bitcoin.conf for BU. Please help me as I would need to setup RPC Creds for BU to connect with Fulcrum, to serve ElectronCash clients.
A question a lot of people have been asking me lately is how they can convert stablecoins or other cryptos to bitcoin but without using centralized KYC exchanges.
Despite crypto being anonymous and private, the exchanges that deal with them are not. Most exchanges initially started with the same model but with time became more strict with their KYC rules.
Thankfully these KYC rules are heavily enforced when fiat is involved but not so much when trading crypto-to-crypto. There are a few exchanges that allow users to trade crypto for bitcoin without undergoing KYC, but the catch is that there is a limit.
Here is a list of exchanges where you can trade crypto for bitcoin without undergoing KYC:
HitBTC:
Founded in 2013, HitBTC is a leading European exchange offering a dynamic range of crypto coins, a state-of-the-art terminal, and high liquidity.
Fee: 0.2 — 0.08% fee based on various levels and tiers
Withdrawal limit: 1 BTC/24 hr or 5 BTC monthly for unverified/no KYC users
KuCoin:
Often called ‘People’s Exchange’, KuCoin is yet another leading cryptocurrency exchange that offers hundreds of trading pairs and high liquidity for users.
Fee: 0.1% based on various levels and tiers
Withdrawal limit: 1 BTC/24 hr for unverified/no KYC users
CoinEx:
A relatively new crypto exchange, CoinEx was launched in 2017 with its headquarters in Hong Kong. It offers a user-friendly, high-speed crypto trading platform that is secure and accepts users from all over the globe.
Fee: 0.3% — 0.05% based on user type and coin
Withdrawal limit: $10,000/24 hr for unverified/no KYC users
Poloniex:
A long-standing crypto exchange, Poloniex, was founded in 2014 in the USA offering a wide selection of crypto coins and competitive fees to its users.
Fee: 0% — 0.1550% based on the variuos tiers
Withdrawal limit: $10,000/24hr or $50,000/24hr [if 2FA enabled] for unverified/no KYC users
Bisq:
One of the popular decentralized P2P trading platforms, Bisq offers users the ability to trade cryptocurrency without the need to go through verification.
Fee: 0.1% maker and 0.7% taker
Withdrawal limit: No limit
Huobi:
Founded in 2013 in China, Houbi is a global cryptocurrency exchange providing deep liquidity and a vast selection of coins.
Fee: 0.2% base fee and additional fee based on various trading tiers
Withdrawal limit: 0.06 BTC /24 hr for unverified/no KYC users

So higher costs would be an absolute disaster considering the current debt levels?
Looking into a better way to store my seed phrase. I was browsing online and found titanium plates that you punch things into and stuff...but I am not sure if I am a fan of that. If someone finds the plate, which I get I can make as difficult as possible, they still get all the info they need.
Then I was reading about storing half the phrase in different locations, which is a great idea, but I also have horrible ADHD memory span so a bit nervous trusting something very important to "remember this spot". Usually very important things stick pretty well for me but this is basically my future nest egg so I am very cautious.
Basically, trying to think of a way to store my seed phrase where there isn't a physical copy of it written down per say but I will always be able to access my seed phrase. Basically boil it down to only 2 ways to obtain my seed phrase: Hack it of beat it out of me.
I'm sure I am over thinking this shit...
I would like to thank members of this community, especially /u/1bch1musd, for helping me setup an SPV server for Bitcoin, coming soon for BCH too :). Fulcrum is actually a lot easier to setup for a guy with intermediate knowledge in server setup, but is a strong believer of decentralisation. You guys are just awesome! I also saw major performance boosts in running fulcrum server, especially when trying to sync to an electrum client situated in another part of the world.
It is much faster than Electrs running on mynode (a bitcoin stack; later on I came to know that Electrs was slow enough for scalability and production use as a public server, tested on both raspberry pi and a powerful linux machine). Now I run Fulcrum on my windows-based node alongside Bitcoin Core, which makes sense as I wanted to make use of it rather than just contributing to decentralisation. Now, I'll bring the same fulcrum server to BCH too as I'm planning to run a BCH full node too, on the same computer.
Anyone who wants to use my Fulcrum server on their electrum client for Bitcoin (BTC) (currently) can connect to the same via: fulcrumx.technovanti.com:50025 (SSL)
