OMG - I hit the lottery!
For months I've been feverishly trying to hunt down my mnemonic for a wallet which I have 12 bitcoins purchases in January 2015 at $200/each - well, over time, thought hard drive was broken and sort of didn't follow bitcoin. But then I heard it was some crazy amount (like around $10k a year ago maybe) so I tried my best to restore hard drive, which I did, but could not find the information I needed to open the wallet!
But this evening, totally not even looking for it, as I gave up like a year back, looking for my birth certificate in a pile of important papers, I stumbled across the 12 words i needed to restore my wallet and it worked!!! Now those coins are worth $109l at the time of this posting!
it's parTee time this weekend!~!

Applying Hanlon’s Razor to ABC funding debacle... Is Aumary actually incompetent?
Read something a little bit ago, which had been relevant in recent funding fiasco, and it said:
The first mental model that is invaluable in situations like this is Hanlon’s Razor: don’t attribute to maliciousness that which is more easily explained by incompetence.
I've been thinking of it... Could it be that Sachet is actually incompetent?

Eth the future?
Vitalik was talking about solving eth's scaleability issues with bch and now he isn't. Is there a possibility eth can become the dominant crypto as far as point of sale? If so why so if not why not?
Also: eth is more detached on exchanges from bitcoin than I have ever seen it

"Exchanges between SLP tokens and BCH, third party exchanges are now superfluous. You're going to be able to make instant, anonymous, private (party-to-party messages are encrypted), uncensorable trades right out of your wallet."
Paid my phone and tv bills again using BCH... liking this.
...using the Bitpay option offered.
BTC was offered but still way too much fee.

Bitcoin.com pool mines first block supporting Bitcoin Cash Node: /pool.bitcoin.com/use BCHN/
Bitcoin Cash block #625184 , mined by pool.bitcoin.com, contains the message /use BCHN/
.
Would be interesting to hear if the pool is already running Bitcoin Cash Node - it does give the strong impression!

CashFusion SALE: 75% OFF for a limited time (~48 hours)! Yes, I will match your donation and bitcoin.com will match them again!
I think fungibility is a very important property for cash to have. CashFusion is currently our best shot at ensuring it in BCH.
Now, the great team behind CashFusion is in need of some funding to get the product out of the door in safe way and I think the community should have no issues funding it.
Many donations (large and small) have already happened and I thank everyone who contributed and especially bitcoin.com for matching (hopefully) those donations once the goal of 50kUSD is reached.
Now I want to get it done and reach the goal of 100,000 USD asap. That's why I decided to match anyones donation to the Cash Fusion Fund setup by bitcoin.com up to 21 BCH for a period of roughly 48 hours.
In the future, thanks to projects like flipstarter, we'll probably be able to do this kind of thing in a more trustless manner, but for now you'll have to trust me to double your donations and all of us will have to trust bitcoin.com to double our contributions again.
TERMS
For any transaction (called "original tx") that matches the following criteria:
- is a BCH (Bitcoin Cash) transaction
- is confirmed in a block with timestamp between Fri 06 Mar 2020 08:00:00 AM UTC and Sun 08 Mar 2020 08:00:00 AM UTC
- contains an OP_RETURN output with a text containing at least one of the words "match" or "double" (alternatively, if your wallet doesn't support OP_RETURN outputs, you can sign a message using one of the input addresses to your tx and post it here. The idea is to avoid people posting tx ids of contributions unrelated to this thread)
- the tx id is posted in this thread
- contains an output to qr2terz9gkfku27u6a3rgnrktdggdfq74yvzzjltrn
I will
- make a transaction containing an output to qr2terz9gkfku27u6a3rgnrktdggdfq74yvzzjltrn matching the amount of the output to the same address in the original tx (unless my 21 BCH cap is reached, then the amount might be less)
- and probably post the tx_id here
Additional restrictions and conditions:
- total capped at 21 BCH for me (after having matched a total of 21 BCH, I'll stop)
- I will make the transactions manually, so don't spam thousands of tx and expect me to double those
- I will do this in batches and I don't have much time, so bear with me and dont panic if I don't act right away
- these terms can be changed at any time at my discretion
One last thing: please don't tip me here any substantial amount. I wont pass on any tips. I will have to pay income tax on tips
So go ahead: milk my wallet and get this thing funded!
EDITS / UPDATES
- Fri 06 Mar 2020 08:33:11 AM UTC: seems https://www.bitcoin.com/cashfusion-fund/ is still having problems, but I think I'll go ahead and post anyway. Nope, wont do it. People wont be able to verify the address, so that's going to suck. I'll postpone...
- Fri 06 Mar 2020 09:15:59 AM UTC: https://www.bitcoin.com/cashfusion-fund loads very slowly. Gonna go ahead and post.

"The reason for the dispute is whether the borrower should return to the lender the bitcoin cash created by the fork.
This decision was taken in the context of a dispute between the French exchange platform Paymium and the English alternative investment company BitSpread. In summary, Paymium loaned 1,000 bitcoins to BitSpread in 2014, before the hard fork of bitcoin in 2017, which resulted in the new cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash, at a one-to-one parity. The reason for the dispute is whether the borrower should return to the lender the bitcoin cash created by the fork.
“The scope of this decision is considerable because it allows bitcoin to be treated like money or other financial instruments. It will therefore facilitate bitcoin transactions, such as lending or repo transactions, which are growing, and thus favor the liquidity of the cryptocurrency market , ” says Hubert de Vauplane, lawyer specializing in Kramer & Levin.
Once judges have considered bitcoin as a fungible asset, in other words, like money, bitcoin lending falls under the “consumer loan” (not to be confused with consumer credit), which transfers ownership property loaned to the borrower during the term of the loan. And so, the bitcoins Cash belongs to the borrower, like the dividend to the shareholder, considers the Court.

Need help recovering funds *reward for helping*
Hey guys! I'm looking for some help because I'm an idiot. I won a good amount of money on bovada and the easiest way to cash out was to receive it in Bitcoin. It asked me for the wallet address so I downloaded the bitcoin.com app. I copied the wallet address into bovada so they could send me the funds. 2 days later I got an email that said the funds have been sent. I opened the app but there are no such funds. I contacted bovada and they insisted that they sent the funds and they were received by my wallet. They even sent a link to the blockchain. The blockchain shows the funds were received. I have no clue how to access the bitcoin. Now it occurs to me that I downloaded the app, but I never actually signed up for anything. Did i just send the coin to some address that no one will ever have access too? I have no clue what to do. Any info would be great. I'll venmo $50 for anyone who can help me recover the funds!

It is still important for mining pools, exchanges, and business to run BCHN, even though the miners won't be voting for IFP
Since it's possible to theoretically activate IFP on ABC, despite miners saying they won't vote for it, the risk of a split is still present (although much reduced), which is why it's a good idea to run BCHN, which doesn't contribute to the split.

BCH dominates physical merchant trade with 97% of crypto tx
The February Australian crypto usage report has been revealed, and the results are overwhelmingly in favour of Bitcoin Cash. BCH recorded 97.01% of all physical merchant trade (in-store payments). That's a massive testament to how usable it actually is compared the other cryptos! Other figures also prove that BCH is the clear favourite for overall use, reigning at 81.09%. To put a $ value to it, Australians spent $73,769.41 worth of Bitcoin Cash during February alone. WOW!
