Saylor academy
You could log on to the saylor Academy and take courses in anything you want-it’s free . There is an introduction that’s 12 hours to the economics of bitcoin. It’s actually very good and worth going through slowly to really understand monetary policy thru history.
I added links to the main page as well as direct to the bitcoin course

My favorite thing about Bitcoin is that you ain't gonna do anything about it.
Oh no! Bitcoin uses more energy than a small country.
Oh No! Banks are trying to regulate Bitcoin
Oh no! Governments are trying to ban Bitcoin.
Oh No! Countries or trying to make Bitcoin illegal.
Oh No! Bitcoin is too volatile and has slow payments.
Oh no! Bitcoin is going to zero. ZERO!
Oh no! My favorite alt coin is better than Bitcoin.
Oh no! Bitcoin isn't backed by anything.
Oh no! Bitcoin is a bubble!
Oh no! Bitcoin is rat poison!
Oh No! Anyways.
Bitcoin is here and it DGAF about you or your feelings. You can't do anything about it on your own. It exists and can't never un-exsist. The question is, you can either make it part of your finances or have fun being poor.

Announcing the BitPal Flipstarter: A self-hosted payment processor focused on Bitcoin Cash
Hey everyone,
Our submission "BitPal" to the coinparty hackathon got good response from the community and people were generally positive towards a Flipstarter... So here it is!
https://flipstarter.bitpal.dev/
I believe accepting payments online without a third-party is one of the most important things for the crypto community, and BitPal aims to be a BCH-friendly alternative that focuses on reliability and ease of usage.
While we do have a working demo this Flipstarter would allow us to cleanup the prototype and make it production ready.
Please leave if a comment if you have any questions or concerns and I'll do my best to address them.

To move BTC right now is more expensive than a Swiss account. Great job to bank the unbanked as you all said to us poor people of the third world. But wait, the Wall Street L2 solutions will come to save the supposed "crypto anarchists"
Name Change
If Bitcoin reaches $1 Million I will officially change my surname to Hodl.
I hired a tattoo designer by the way and will be getting my Bitcoin tattoo soon as y'all gave the idea the support.
EDIT:
Seems people like the idea of me changing my name to Chamath Hodl
Gonna do it but Chamath Palihapitiya has gotta give it his blessing.
C'mon y'all holla out to Chamath on twitter etc and get him to give his blessing here.

The first Billion users of crypto are coming to Bitcoin Cash $BCH, Not Bitcoin Core $BTC. And is happening really fast!
Is very simple, usability drives adoption, and adoption drives value. The first Billion users of a cryptocurrency will be Bitcoin Cash users. Is fundamentally impossible for Bitcoin Core $BTC, to onboard a Billion users. Bitcoin Core already gave up on that idea.
The high fees, slow network, and high friction of Bitcoin Core $BTC turned it into a collectible digital brick. After years and years, Lightning Network remains mostly unused and broken. Smoke and mirrors to sucker people into believing Bitcoin Core can have a future with high fees, congestion, and a slow network. Don't believe me? Give $BTC Lightning Network a try, do it! It only takes a couple of days for you to download a full node, set your watchtowers, open ports on your 24*7 internet connection, and then finally pay fees to open a payment channel on the Lightning Network! If you ask /r/Bitcoin, they will want you to use some sort of custodial wallet that does not let you manage your keys. Ask Elon what he thinks about such type of wallet!
As for institutions adopting Bitcoin, institutions depend on users. Institutions go where people are. Not the other way around! Think about it, imagine a billion users on Bitcoin Cash $BCH, while few corporations use Bitcoin Core $BTC. The network effect of Bitcoin Cash is FAR FAR bigger than the one from Bitcoin Core.
Bitcoin Cash $BCH works today, is fast, fees are extremely low, and will always remain low. This is Peer to Peer electronic cash as described on the white paper that started it all.
I can't believe we have a chance to buy Real usable Bitcoin at these prices!

As of today, I am officially a 0.1 coiner
In November, I started investing in bitcoin. At the time, I thought it was too late (16k).
December (25k) came. I regretted not investing more earlier, but I'm glad I started.
January (40k) came. I regretted not investing more earlier, but I'm glad I continued investing.
Now it's february (48k). I still regret not dumping my life savings into bitcoin when it was in the hundreds, but there's still so much more room for growth. We've just left the atmosphere, the moon is still a long ways away. My sats are already worth $2000 more than I paid for.
Keep stacking sats and HODLing. The only way to lose is to not play at all. Don't let the price of a full coin discourage you. And more importantly, don't store large sums of money in a rapidly depreciating asset (fiat)!!!

Bitcoincash is confidently and rapidly creeping into the people's hearts, taking its deserving position in their lives. That's what a project targeted at rescuing the masses from financial oppression does.
For every day that my bitcoin transaction is stuck, i will give out satoshis (in bch).
Everyday my tx is stuck in the bitcoin mempool, i will pick a person randomly to give them a very small amount of bch, to prove how btc is useless for micropayments. (Yes, you can use the lightning network. But you got to pay to open a payment channel in the first place, right? So enjoy that 20$ network fee anyway!)

Reddit pro tip: Install RES. It tracks your up/down votes on users, and before too long it's really obvious who is just trolling this subreddit with disinguenous or unconstructive arguing. It's also a laugh to read a stupid post and then see you've already got that person at -10.
Suggestions for accepting crypto for my business
I'm looking into accepting crypto as payment in my retail business. The first platform that came up was coingate. What are the opinions of coingate and are there other platforms worth looking into? Appreciate any insight.

The old world is going to start getting desperate
Mark my words, now that Musk has ousted himself from the "system", they are going to come after him and all of us in order to attempt to maintain control.
They can't control Musk and they hate it. They can't control Bitcoin and they hate it. Up until this point, we have just been a thorn in their side. Now, we are a direct threat to their system and way of life.
The elites are going to start losing everything and it has already started. They can feel it.
FUD won't be enough for them anymore. They will step up their game in 2021. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Be ready. Don't settle for anything that doesn't promote open, decentralized, on-chain settlements. Layer 2 is fine, but it needs to be ultimately settled on THE blockchain.
We will start to see CBDCs pop up throughout the world and they are going to appear on the surface to be our friend. Trust me, they are not our friend. They have their own goals and agendas.
Support business, exchanges, and people that promote and allow self-custody. If your broker doesn't give you a key to your bitcoin, it's not really your bitcoin. If you are on Robinhood, leave. If you are on PayPal, leave. There are plenty of other options that don't have an agenda.
Never settle for anything other than the real blockchain - Bitcoin.

Chaintip is online again!
I made this post where I list the stuck tips I need to return to tippers. It looks like moving to a new wallet file makes everything work smoothly again so happy tipping. So it took only two hours instead of a few days after I had done the audit :)
I still need to return the stuck funds from the previous wallet after some people verify their addresses, but now have the mechanisms to do this without requiring the node.
I won't be around to check things keep working smoothly for the next 7 hours so let me know if anything doesn't work as you expect! It should be 'more responsive' now.

Lots of discussion about energy waste a Bitcoin mining...
Considering that you can only fit ~1 MB of tx's in a BTC block, it makes sense that Bitcoin Cash's symbol is green. More TX's per block, less kWh 'used' per tx.
Another reason why Bitcoin Cash beats Bitcoin Core.

Meeting with my City about Bitcoin!
About 2.5 years ago I wrote my city and mentioned that it may be a good idea to investigate the crypto industry to see what economic opportunities that may have for my city. They blew me off. Now with Bitcoin 7x higher in price, Tesla's adoption as well as all the others, I have been invited to have a discussion! No idea if anything will come from it, but am excited to be on the front lines pushing for greater adoption.

What does BCH do better than other cryptocurrencies?
There was a recent post on r/CryptoCurrency titled "For the newcomers: the top 50 Cryptocurrencies, each explained with one sentence." The description for BCH was:
fork of Bitcoin (so a copy with some differences), which tries to lower transaction fees and increase scalability but has been surpassed technology-wise by many other coins aiming to do just the same.
I know some of the descriptions were tongue-in-cheek (e.g. Monero was described as "if you need drugs"), but the description of BCH seemed pretty negative compared to the others.
So, where does BCH outshine other cryptocurrencies?

I wonder if Peter Schiff would be a fan of Bitcoin Cash
I'm a huge fan of Peter Schiff. He's a brilliant economist of the Austrian tradition, and has been a caller of bubbles and market movements since I was a child, and I'm 30 years old today.
He always focuses on central bank movements, the true players in the macroeconomy.
He has my utmost respect. The only thing we disagree on is crypto and, based on his podcasts, he seems to be unaware of BCH Bitcoin Cash.
I know it's a bit of a conflict of interest with regards to his business ventures, but I would be incredibly interested to hear his candid response, if he were willing to hear out the case for Bitcoin Cash.
After you downvote, take note that the gentleman is a brilliant forecaster, and as much flak he catches from the crypto community, I assure you he's vastly more aware of macro and micro interactions than you and me.
He continues to see crypto as a fringe market, and I wonder if someone influential in the Austrian space might be able to reach him and change his mind.
