Just felt like sharing some thoughts after seeing the market behaviour in btc the past week. Feel free to disagree.
Most of the times new people buying in crypto gets screwed due to these factors:
1) FUD - Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt - Dumps due to fear and entering a trade with an amount that they are unable to manage
2) FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out - Pumps due to fear of missing out in a rush, and usually with an amount that they are unable to manage due to greed.
3) Trend Traders - Traders who trade using their own TA (technical analysis), other people's TA, social media hype, memes, news. All the TA signals gets amplified or overemphasised and you get screwed by trying to time the market.
4) Whale Manipulators - Tries to instigate the market with larger than normal pump and dump volumes. You react by doing what they want, usually panic selling.
5) You don’t understand what you are buying. You can never trust something that you don’t understand, 99% of the time, hence -> panic selling -> losing money.
Safest way to invest or buy in to crypto that you should do:
1) Buy fundamentally sound, long-standing coins with long price history (BTC,ETH,ADA,etc): Buy at the dips, slowly DCA (Dollar cost average in), HOLD what you bought when it DUMPS and DCA more, sell a portion and NOT ALL when it PUMPS / goes hyperbolic for cash to buy in next DUMP/dip. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T PANIC SELL.
2) For new coins that gets pumped out of now where: buy in only with what you can lose, and sell/cash out at intervals. DON'T TRY TO GUESS THE TIPPING POINT.
3) Don’t destroy your daily life by looking at the charts every single minute and react emotionally, or invest with what you cant afford to lose. You can never win by reacting emotionally.
4) Research and learn about the fundamentals and technology. Knowing what you are buying in gives you the confidence to hold your ground.
Non exhaustive but Hope it helps. If only everyone in the community understands where crypto is going, buying in coins like btc, eth, Ada or even other alt coins should be a stress free decision that you are taking for your future.
Not financial advice, please do your own due diligence 👍
Hey guys! So I’m still ramping up on BTC, and on my latest purchase for 2k the transaction fee was 458 USD. I was shocked.
I wonder if there’s something I’m doing wrong. I used Simplex.com for the transaction.
Any recommendations to avoid such high fees in the future?
Thanks!
Fees go up, Bitcoin normies backlash, Bitcoin Cash wins.
Better skip the middleman, let's go and tell the world how useful Bitcoin Cash is.
Does anyone know what this is? Address got a small amount of coins and then sent an even smaller amount to 250 separate addresses? There is also a unparsed address? Is that some type of hidden message in script data?
To cover it up, they would need to buy back about 150 000 bitcoins.
I will let you connect the dots with what happened this last week
Tx Street of course. Intellectually you know BCH can outperform BTC by an order of magnitude - but to actually see the same transactions per second rate on both chains - and Bitcoin Cash's platform has NO passengers waiting while BTC's has long line of people just waiting....AND Bitcoin Cash's average fee is $0.01 while BTC is $6.50....
What a sad joke BTC is - if you are wasting your money on BTC you deserve everything coming to you.
I cant trade, it just says loading, logins fail half the time
The whole basis of BTC is that shit like this could not happen as it is truly decentralized.
Anyone here also think this could send BTC to oblivion?
Hi guys,
I just got an idea of a second layer of security for btc's network that could be useful for a rapid consensus in the case of a 51% attack. What about a smart network that would allow its nodes to vote on a "true" ledger in the case of an attack? The network nodes would create a board with all the users who applied to participate in the voting process and any conflict could then be solved by a majority vote from the stakeholders. Hashrate wouldn't be a problem anymore as any major attack would have low chances of success.
As we like to say it's better to work smarter than harder, this also works for the miners:)
Their own iconic Doge the Dogecoin they symbolized oh for so long popped 800% past 24 hours passing BCH while they're over there trying to pump Nano artificially, the irony is amazing.
At this point, you should have instant access up to 25k and you can purchase real bitcoin. you will then need to wait up to 5 days for the money to full clear, at which point you can withdraw your bitcoin from the exchange.
this way, you won't lose any money due to the price of bitcoin going up while you transfer funds from robinhood to coinbase pro.
As you know Reddit users have taken the world by storm by turning the tides by flooding money into AMC , GameStop and blackberry which left the shorting hedge funds with a loss of billions . But instead of the world congratulating the average person on their success platforms such as robinhood have banned us from purchasing these stocks but let the hedge funds buy away . Time to make a change , let’s drive these imbeciles into the ground . Together we are strong 💪.
Everyone that was seriously trying to make a quick buck off GameStop and have now realized the problem with it are going to realize robinhood can do this whenever they like. This is the perfect ad for Bitcoin as a solution, as soon as this whole debacle is over I expect a big stampede to Bitcoin. Buckle up
There’s a movement to buy bitcoin on the 30th of January at 3PM Eastern. We need to show big companies and banks that if they want in they need to buy at OUR price.
It shows the people exactly how the system has always been rigged against the people.
I hope more and more people start understanding the value of Crypto currency, which can evade the centralised powers.
Bitcoin to the moon 🚀 🚀🚀

Basically just the title. I'm a bit of a newbie on this. Don't know much about options and don't know the history of how expiries have impacted BTC's price in the past. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks!
My name is Julian and I’m a student at TUM in Munich, Germany. I used to have problems getting started with Bitcoin because there were only few resources to guide me through every important topic of Bitcoin. That's why my friend and I developed the app 'Simple Crypto: Master Bitcoin', which explains everything step by step. A big advantage is that you can finish it within 1 hour and even get a certificate to confirm your knowledge. People who used the app said that this course really helped them to become a Bitcoiner and they also said that this project is way too unknown to have this quality. I'm not sure if this is the right place, but if you know anyone who wants to get started with Bitcoin, we would really appreciate it if you could recommend us. I know this project is commercial in a way, but our intention is to use it to cover development costs. Our mission is to avoid people getting into the bitcoin market with 0 knowledge and just because the price is skyrocketing. I think if everyone would understand bitcoin, the price would be even higher. We want to avoid that these people are uneducated in the subject. With our app it is very easy to understand in a short time. Let me stop talking and make your own opinion about it: Link to website (We also appreciate feedback)
3.5 million people were just DE platformed in the w-----ss---------b reddit. the rest of the world is watching. We need to seize the opportunity and spread the word about MEMO.CASH . THIS IS THE TIME.
Some time ago I noticed that Trezor started to show a wrong exchange rate for BTC, I did not give it much importance, since it is an app which is still on beta phase. Today, however, I checked on Google and it seems that the Bitcoin price in my local currency (VEF/VES) is so big that the caused a bug on the some exchange rate providers, as you can see on the graph (which shows a BTC is equal to 0 VES/VEF after the last 14th November, which is of course wrong) So Bitcoin has officially taken down its first FIAT, I guess. inb4: I am Venezuelan, obviously. Just seeing if this post can even be made. Tried to create another post with W..S.B. in the title and it's auto banned.
The financial revolution just got even more interesting. Those YOLO call profits should make their way into crypto soon.
He started the day shoveling snow for neighbors driveways at $5 a driveway. After getting a couple done he wanted to invest $5. First, he wanted to start with an ERC-20 token, Civic. Bought it, went to send to his wallet and it literally said it would eat up 80% of his coins in network fees. He asked if there was one with lower fees. We looked at BCH. Converted. Then sent to his wallet with less than a penny of transaction fee’s.
We got us a new bch hodler.
Are the mods of that sub behind this or is this something else?
Does bch have any decentralized platforms that can replace reddit?
This time the cancel culture has no excuse, this really looks bad - it almost looks like institutions are salty for getting liquidated and appealed to regulators to try and shutdown wsb.
There are way too many bullish developments coming soon to let go. To name a few:
... and probably more that I'm not aware of.
Fellow Bitcoiners, buckle-up, this year will be a crazy roller coaster ride. Skeptics, if you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry. To quote Michael Saylor, have fun staying poor.
Hi, I've been using Copay to receive payments in BCH for about 2.5 years. I had never encountered this problem before. I generated a new receiving address and sent the customer this address to which he sent the payment. When I search for the address in the blockchain explorer his payment appears with 75 confirmations, but it doesn't appear on my wallet. What could I have done wrong? I know Bitpay is no longer supporting Copay and I should start using another wallet soon, but for the moment what could possibly be the problem? It is Copay Android 7.0.3. I'll appreciate any help a lot :).
I love BCH as much as the next guy (in here), but let’s not fool ourselves that the recent transaction growth is any more “real” than say, BSV’s transactions.
It’s all noise.cash, and noise.cash is only generating transactions and “popular” as long as they’re giving away $3,000/day.
Now, maybe noise.cash builds on this and eventually becomes self sustaining and the next big social network, in which case I’d count the BCH transactions as “real”. But as long as they’re just giving away money... it ain’t there yet.
So my account was u/august8th- I made a post this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/l52djw/for_some_reason_except_this_community_and/
Where I described in detail why I believe that rejecting BCH is foolish. My account was permanently suspended. Which can only happen through reports given how the reason they gave me was "violating the terms of reddit" and nothing else.
I just wanted to say to people that even if your accounts get banned don't be afraid to say the truth, the truth should always prevail, and the truth right now is that bitcoin doesn't operate like bitcoin was created to, and that BCH is the closest thing to satoshi's dream.
Don't give up, soon the world we realize that we are supporting what's best for it.
I just sent everything I had in Bitcoin from my ledger to Coinbase.. I need the money, always thought I’d be able to hodl longer but I haven’t gone to work in a month and I’m out of boring people money so here I am, saying goodbye to you guys. It was nice, got a good amount, enough to pay rent for this month and buy food. Depression sure is a shitshow. See you all in the moon some day.
what do you use and why?
another good one for me is coincodex.com
I don't think coinmarketcap and coingecko offer enough customability.
Please enlighten me
Hello!
As an updaye, Venezuela Workers, a website where you can employ venezuelans using Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin, implemented a referral system so people can make extra BCH while promoting our website to employers.
Users now can generate 4% in fees for every job completed by the employers they recommended to the site.
Give this a try and generate extra money, while employing Venezuelans and increasing the BCH use case.

Because I'm lazy and I don't know how. Anyway, the idea is to get a gif of the roller coaster Bitcoin guy and put it on a loop in a picture frame. The frame tracks Bitcoin's price movements of the day and inclines and declines based upon the daily change.
You are sitting at your desk and see rollercoaster guy chilling sideways. You laugh. You see him hands in the air pointed really high up, you laugh.
I want this so badly... Why can't I figure out how to make it? If someone does, I'll buy it from you on Etsy or whatever.
Honestly. I know Bitcoin's all about price, hodl, wait for the pump, etc., etc., but can't they at least look a bit more unique?
