r/CryptoPaymentGateways has been formed
I formed that subreddit to discuss Crypto Payment Gateway development. Users will be allowed to post code and ask for help or advice. Any programming language and eCommerce platform can be discussed. Subbreddit is not single coin specified, but targeted harassment and trolls are not welcome. Will be beginner friendly and less restrictive then Stack Exchange which closes every basic coding question on their site...

How effective would this policy be against cashshuffle and cashfusion blacklisting addresses? I'm assuming ineffective
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/u-government-blacklisting-bitcoin-addresses-212554932.html
"The U.S. government is paying close attention to illegal activity associated with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
And the government’s “blacklisting” of blockchain addresses associated with digital currencies linked to crimes is sure to escalate, cryptocurrency compliance experts say."

How do you believe Bitcoins price will be impacted if we enter a recession?
Do you believe the price of bitcoin will go up or down if we enter a recession in the United States? There is a negative correlation between gold and the stock market. I’ve heard many people say that same would apply to bitcoin. What do you guys think?

Splices and Liquidity in the Lightning Network
When talking about the Lightning Network, it is often said that money is “locked up” in payment channels. The reason for this expression is that when you have money in a payment channel you cannot use it outside the channel.
In this post we explain what are splices, what is needed for them to work and how can they change our perspective on liquidity.

Cash Fusion (mini) simulator
Here is some code Mark Lundeberg had previously composed while researching the combinatoric effects of mixing large numbers of inputs and outputs.
It's very counterintuitive (at least it was to me), but a surprisingly large number of combinations arirses that give the same exact sums of inputs when you start increasing the numbers.
For example, here we are using only 3 players with 6 inputs each (and one output each), and using the random seed in Mark's example, we get 125 combinations that work! Now just imagine how crazy it will get with 10 players and 10 inputs etc.
https://gist.github.com/markblundeberg/521f10f4fbbd347636167972e757a10e
I took the liberty of just formatting this iPython Notebook output into a standalone file so you can copy paste it and run it. (I took out the plotting stuff and it also picks a new random seed on every run):
https://gist.github.com/fyookball/0b79a56b484063ac25d1ccaf22894dbb
The code can take anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes to run depending on how fast your system is (VM are slower).
I also have attached a sample output of my run of this in the comments of the gist, which happened to give 67 combinations.

Talking about the competition isn't inherently toxic. But trolls try to guilt you for it anyway.
Example: BCH has fast cheap reliable payments. That's positive. That makes Bitcoin Cash great. What's so wrong about pointing out that BTC doesn't have this? That makes the choice of which coin to use or invest in simpler.
Also, usually the comparison is to BTC because the difference in actual functionality is usually the biggest, at least in terms of cost, speed, privacy, scalability, etc... The "throttling" just makes it so. The difference between BCH and other coins is sometimes more subtle and even simply the network effect.

The current dust limit in ABC is 546 satoshis, which it inherited from Bitcoin Core code. Does ABC have any plans to lower this? Right now there is almost 0.46 BCH locked up in addresses that contain Spice. Which after less then a year of spice I think is quite high.
Local.Bitcoin.Com is by far the best way to buy/sell crypto for fiat. Just completed my first trade.
I just sold 1 BCH on there at 10% above the market price, and the experience was outstanding. Secure, anonymous, fast, minuscule fee's and no middlemen. I love this whole idea of non-custodial wallets and escrow. I would even recommend it to be BCH haters just as a fiat/crypto gateway.
I was really, really impressed with the whole experience.
I bet some smart traders can do some highly profitable arbitrage on there too. I might start trying to do some of that myself. I couldn't believe how easy it was to find someone willing to pay 10% above the market price, and I started getting more buy offers before I took down my offer.
If you haven't tried it yet, do it. Even if you just buy/sell $5, you gotta try it and see how great it is.

Discussion: A product-market fit that accelerates cryptocurrency awareness globally.
Ever so often I wonder why people in this space aren't doing enough to spread the adoption of crypto. I always wonder what will make the breakthrough. There's a constant need for a product that does for cryptospace what Google did to the Internet.
I'm much aware of all the issues we are technically facing in the field. They yet need to be worked upon, but while the techies work on the geek stuff someone needs to work on the smart stuff too.
I have a couple of things in mind.
-A media publication that talks about how emerging technology [Blockchain, Ai, IoT, etc] can be used by small-medium enterprises. Cover stories on how a particular tech company helped a small scale business to grow. [its more of a CSR thingy for emerging tech] It's a way to connect the general population with the crypto world.
-A killer app which is the ecosystem of all things crypto. If you wanna know the prices, or the technology, or need help in trading. This will do it all and at the same time give you user profiles to maintain your database of the preferred crypto and tech. This would be the go-to place for everything crypto for people who want to know more about what crypto and its tech does. With this there will also be 1 minute videos for every crypto with an interactive theme [bandersnatch] so if someone needs to know a quick overview then you can and if you want it to be detailed then follow the trail and click on the options given for the elaborated explanation of the video [have a feeling it will work well with the tech/finance millenials].
-A token curated registry wherein news about cryptocurrencies, what scams do, which projects are good and what type of market trends will be portrayed - fully crowdsourced. Pages on every crypto asset that's there, and people can submit their views to the portal after which the editors can check out the authenticity, edit it grammatically, etc and post it out. Depending on the traction the source gets the contributor be it known or anonymous will get tokens convertible into fiat or any other crypto at any point. Additionally, all the info stays out there be it good or bad. Everything stays out there!
Of course, this is just the outline there will be a lot more to it. But what do you guys think?
PS:- Please don't be rude we all really just need to help each other to make the pace grow. I'm a big believer of market research inside and outside the space, which I did and the results recommended these three products. So help me out without being a douche? Much love!
