The paradigm is shifting, the pill is orange

The paradigm is shifting.

An entire generation is currently entering adulthood with no hope of affording their own property or a new car, and with no prospects for a future pension.

This generation has been deprived of the options and opportunities that the baby boomers enjoyed, due to the infinite money printing and financial bubbles of previous decades.

People born after 2000 have been robbed and left disadvantaged by those born before 1970.

They are expressing their dissatisfaction through their choices. Their income is moving away from the inflationary environment and transitioning into deflationary new assets like #Bitcoin. They will eagerly watch the old world crumble in the flames of endless bailouts and money printing, while they accumulate relative wealth on the sidelines.

Then they will simply take over. That's when Bitcoin reaches the value of $1 million. That's when the term "millionaire" will be replaced with "wholecoiner".

The pill is orange. Take it, weather the storm, and let the baby boomers face the consequences of the chaos they have created for themselves. There may be bumps on the road, but the paradigm is shifting.

Those who understand the future will own the future.

Don't Panic

Hello fellow Bitcoiners.

Over the next several quarters, perhaps even a year or two, the ongoing liquidity crisis engineered by the Federal Reserve will heavily surpress the fiat-denominated price of Bitcoin. This price suppression will be further excacerbated by the usual consolidation phase we see in the shadow of a new ATH.

This activity, in light of the central banks' efforts to develop and implement their own heavily controlled digital currencies, could very well make this coming consolidation phase the most significant opportunity to accumulate bitcoin that we have seen in many years, and may not see again in our lifetimes.

Personally I will be accumulating as much as reasonably possible while minimizing living expenses. Obviously this does not constitute investment advice, and you are responsible for your own actions in the coming months.

Best of luck and remember, don't panic.

Moonpay, for some reason, sent my bitcoin to "Blockchair". I'm unfamiliar with this service, but no point in trying to untangle how it got there. I'm fairly versed in the Bitcoin game, but this BLOCKCHAIR place is a tangled maze. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO WITHDRAW or TRANSFER bitcoin out of BLOCKCHAIR???? Please help, friends! Thanks in advance.

There is no way to put the genie back in the bottle

For the people who believe in bitcoin (which this subreddit must have a good portion of those who have "bought in"), what would/could change your mind?

What would make you stop Hodling, DCAing, caring about bitcoin? For most in this sub, I would guess nothing.

There is a base of support for bitcoin that will never go away. Some might call this fanaticism but show me a technology that hasn't had an early adopter fanatic base of users.

  • A monetary asset not controlled by a central authority - there will always be demand for an asset such as this and the drivers of this demand are growing daily.
  • A monetary asset without counterparty risk - demand will only increase for this.
  • A monetary asset with a known monetary policy - demand will only grow, supply will not change.

My point is that there is only one way to go from here. The cart is out of the barn. The cat is out of the bag.

The level of Bitcoin adoption (at this point) only has one way to go: up.

Believers aren't selling, and new Bitcoiners are mined every day.

We are in at least a small part in an echo chamber, our belief in Bitcoin bolstered by the confidence of each other in this sub. There is no doubt about that.

But I think (fully understanding going deeper in the echo chamber here) the point where bitcoin's global adoption can be stopped has already passed. The momentum is too strong to be stopped at this point. Bitcoin is a runaway train of adoption in the first turns of its wheels; when the wheels get up to speed, nothing can stop it.

There is no way to put the genie back in the bottle.

Rant over (sorry for all the idioms and metaphors)

2of2 Multisig vs Singlesig with Passphrase

I’m trying to decide between storing my Bitcoin in a multisig using hardware wallets with Electrum or using a Coldcard for a singlesig with a passphrase.

I know multisig is harder to set up and backup but the benefit is the keys can be easily distributed by location.

As for the singlesig, I like the fact that you can have multiple accounts by using pass phrases and you don’t need. I feel it’s safe as long as the passphrases are not stored with recovery seed phrases.

I want a setup that is easy without compromising security. I want to use the wallet for long term and I want to be easy for inheritance.

What do you all recommend and why?

The Central African Republic drops Bitcoin as Legal Tender

In April 2022, the Central African Republic (CAR) introduced Bitcoin as legal tender, aiming to position itself as one of the "bravest and most visionary countries in the world." However, just one year later, the country has reversed its decision and passed a new law restricting the use of cryptocurrencies once again.

The CAR is one of the poorest countries in the world, struggling with numerous challenges such as political instability, crumbling infrastructure, and food shortages. Nevertheless, last year, the country decided to introduce Bitcoin as legal tender, following El Salvador as the second nation to take this bold step. However, the move generated little interest as most business owners preferred to focus on improving infrastructure and security.

From the very beginning, the introduction of Bitcoin as legal tender was met with skepticism, not least because of the CAR's close ties with Russia and suspicions that the use of cryptocurrencies could serve to circumvent sanctions. Additionally, the United Nations warned that cryptocurrencies in developing countries could be associated with high risks and costs.

Now, the Central African Republic has reversed its decision and repealed the original law. Instead, a new law has been enacted, designating Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as reference values that citizens can voluntarily use or accept as payment.

The failure of the Bitcoin project in the CAR can be attributed primarily to the country's economic situation and lack of development. From the outset of the Bitcoin introduction, there were strong doubts about the project's success, as only about ten percent of the population had access to the internet. Furthermore, the promised economic benefits never materialized, and planned projects like building a Bitcoin city or launching their own cryptocurrency stalled.

Anyone know how it's going with the guy that took out a massive loan to buy crypto?

Can't remember the exact time, guessing around 2017. I do know that he said it was easy for him to get a loan because he worked/ lived in the middle East. I also think he said if all went to shit he could still pay the loan.

I just hope he's still holding and he's up on his investment. And didn't loose everything on leverage trading

This is the only hit I get when googling

I see comments comparing the may 15, 2023 BCH upgrade to ETH but with POW on BCH, with better scaling and cheaper transactions. Do Cashtokens compete with SmartBCH and might render that sidechain project somewhat irrelevant since cashtokens are onchain directly? Or are these completely unrelated?

Running a BIP 324 Bitcoin Node Can Help Make You and The Network More Private

BIP 324 is a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal that outlines a protocol for encrypted peer-to-peer communication between Bitcoin nodes. The protocol uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to establish a secure connection between nodes, which helps to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks and improve the overall security of the Bitcoin network.

There are a few reasons why it's important to run a Bitcoin node that supports BIP 324. First, it helps to ensure that your node is communicating with other nodes securely, which helps to prevent attacks that could compromise the integrity of the Bitcoin network. Second, it helps to improve the overall privacy of your node by encrypting your communications with other nodes. Finally, supporting BIP 324 helps to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Bitcoin protocol, which is important for ensuring the long-term viability of the network.

Overall, if you're running a Bitcoin node, it's a good idea to make sure that it supports BIP 324 to help ensure the security and privacy of your node, and to contribute to the ongoing development of the Bitcoin network.

Find out more at https://bip324.com/

or watch a video on BIP324 https://youtu.be/1MOHkiVIgRI

Lastly, please note that you can currently run a BIP324 node, but it is still in beta and being actively worked on by the developer community.
