El Salvador funding schools and a veterinary hospital with BTC profits
It’s a bad time to be a Bitcoin skeptic right now.
In El Salvador, President Nayib Bukele announced on November 2 that the government will build 20 new schools, financed with gains the country has made from its purchase of bitcoin. Along with news of a veterinary hospital, he also suggested that more public works will be financed in the future, assuming that bitcoin continues appreciating in the coming weeks and months.

Another Bitcoin ATH today - the Lightning Network has over 30,000 visible nodes!
The Lightning Network has reached an all-time high capacity of 3,215 bitcoin and over 30,000 visible nodes!
Lightning is awesome and really easy to use even for newcomers. If you never tried it, install Muun or/and Phoenix wallet and play with them a bit.

I can’t believe the shit I just saw on TV
So I’m here visiting my pops, (Ottawa, Canada for those curious)
On the TV there’s a local news station and they’re interviewing people who yolo’d their life savings into crypto and lost everything, all the doom and gloom and FUD they can throw at Bitcoin was thrown. Somehow there’s massive amounts of pity for these sore losers
Do you think they would be complaining if they didn’t paper hand and lose all their money? What if they just understood how to invest in the first place and they made bank?
I’m just so mad that these people get off with no personal responsibility... I just lost about $6,000 this week in alts, other than this sentence I haven’t complained about it and I certainly don’t think my losses are due to anything but me paperhanding some shitcoins I should of never bought in the first place.
So frustrating.....

I bought my first car! Thanks Bitcoin
But financed it instead.
Could have paid cash many times over from my BTC gains but opted for 20% down and 1.9% APR instead and am going to keep holding my BTC and pumping every extra USD I can get my hands on into BTC.
This is the way.

I have been working on this project for months now and I wanna hear other people's opinions since I think in the creator's mind everything is different.
Hey, so I am working on my own NFT Project for a long time now and I wanted to ask other people what they think about it.
For a few years, I really had a hard time with myself. Not feeling confident and always thinking others hated me. I hid for years and didn't go out with anyone. And in the end, I realized it was all in my mind.
So I created my own NFT Project wanting to help others with similar problems. But I'm not sure if it's so clear to the outside. I feel like everyone is in the NFT-Space for making a Money grab or something.
Maybe it's because I looked too much at other projects, writing things that attract people that are only here for money, and not to help.
Anyways, maybe you guys can tell me what your first impression you get when hearing or seeing my Project. Thank you a lot and I hope you guys are having a nice day!
That's the website, I don't wanna spam with other links: https://shyguysnft.com

When is it dangerous to own Bitcoin?
I hear many times here that you should not mention that you own Bitcoin/Sats. Someone did for a while ago post his seed phrase to a 10.000 sats wallet to show that it would be nearly impossible to hack it if you did not know the correct order of the words and there were very little interest of people trying to "hack" it. Then when people post that they are close or full coiners there is widely more attention.
For couple days ago I did hear that a normal bitcoin owner who was very active on FB with his cryptos did go missing, then there are stories about people breaking in to houses and torturing owners to get the keys to their bitcoins.
All this makes one wonder when/after which amount do you get targeted and are bitcoin owners gonna be the future prey for organized crime..?

US Gov trying to move chip manufacturing to the US mainland. Crypto mining might have the same fate in the future so as not to be reliant on Taiwan/China factories. Maybe China banning crypto will be a thing of the past.
"What's your credit score?"
"Oh I have a bitcoin"
"Oh my apologies, right this way, sir."

Yesterday I decided to buy my first Satoshis.
Only 36,228 but I'm officially stacking sats for my children and their children. I feel that btc is the only coin that is basically a guaranteed win at this point

Do I sell my amazon shares and use it to put into BTC?
I have been contemplating this for weeks/months. I buy amazon shares weekly but I have seen big gains on those also but something in my heart is telling me to invest it into btc but my head is telling me to keep letting them grow. I suppose it’s good to keep diversity on investments, eggs in one basket job…

Is /r/Monero censoring? I tried to post about Tether pumping and post got deleted.
Since they deleted it, I will post here:
Is XMR/USD price pumped by Tether?
For the purpose of this post, I will assume the reader knows that Tether/USDT tokens are frequently printed by iFinex, likely out of thin air and without any backing. Furthermore, I believe it's common knowledge that BTC price pumps are fairly closely correlated with USDT printing (most recently, the $3 billion USDT printed last weekend briefly pushed BTC/USD over $70k on Monday morning). I don't have time to debate these points, so feel free to ignore this post if you don't agree.
My question is: does USDT printing also inflate XMR price? Looking at coinmarketcap volume statistics, I notice that XMR/USDT daily volume is currently around $300 million, which is very low compared to the $15 billion BTC/USDT trade volume. For this reason I'd posit that fresh USDT is not used to pump XMR price. And XMR price tends to not rise when USDT is printed.
Generally the pattern looks like this: USDT is randomly printed, BTC price pumps 5-15%, and then over the next few days BTC fiat price stabilizes and other coins rise in fiat price. In my opinion this is traders moving BTC into other coins while the BTC/alt ratio is low. When BTC/USD rises 20%, BTC/XMR drops quite a bit, so XMR/BTC volume increases.
thoughts?

I finally did it
I withdrew all my btc from the exchange with the help of my Ledger hardware wallet. Finally in control of my own coins after leaving it to chance and Coinbase for a year. Feels good to be in control. Now for recovery phrase storage. Would you recommended a safety deposit box as one option?

ICYMI: Peter McCormack got shredded on BTC fungibility
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3b42wTdxuU
Pete had his ass handed to him very politely. The host told him BTC is captured and he had no response other than "I'm not a technical person".
Which is precisely why Pete shouldn't be fleecing noobs into buying BTC!

1 BTC = 1,764 Acres of Earth
21 million coins
150 000 000 sq km of earth (land only)
7.14 sq km per bitcoin or 1764 acres
Bitcoin is digital property, land may have been one of the first implementations of the idea of property, so as a very rudimentary and not to be taken seriously comparison owning 1 bitcoin worth of space on this digital ledger can be compared to owning 7.14 sq km of the surface area of the Earth.
Welcome to planet Bitcoin.
