Capital gains tax is stupid.
The craziest thing about Capital Gains Tax is that we are taxed if the value of our assets rise. But one major misunderstood component of rising asset prices is it is caused in some part by inflation. Effectively gold, realestate and other assets go up in price because they are being priced in a currency that is falling in value due to debasement and inflation.
Capital Gains tax literally taxes us if our currency falls in value, the more the government inflates the currency the more asset prices appear to rise and the more we are taxed. Its a way to take part of a gain that never really occured in the first place. How sneaky is that!
Capital Gains tax should have been scraped after 2008 once it became clear it was now the policy of central banks to print money, and I have a feeling once inflation really starts to heat up there will be a lot of push back against capital gains tax especially CGT on cryptocurrency.
Can anyone cite any exmples in history where CGT was reduced or scraped due to high inflation? Perhaps in the 1970s stagflation era?

Just a reminder and a healthy message!
Just a reminder that after bitcoin passes 10k almost everyone in crypto will be breaking even or in profits.... If they are still hodling! Can you imagine the day where EVERY ONES HOLDINGS ARE IN THE GREEN?! If it breaches 10k then 20k this will be a huge shift in crypto and not only the media will be plastering it everywhere! Then new faces will be showing and then new innovation this space, I believe, will exploded! But... It has been a great ride and I have accumulated enough for me to be happy and it is on cold storage. Therefore, I'm going to sign off and only check the charts occasionally. Buying and selling can be just as addicting as a drug! The dopamine that is released from fomo and a good shit coin trade is not for me anymore. Don't let bit coin rule your life. AmyG is a scammer on local.bitcoin.com, do not trade
People don’t seem to realize how dangerous Gift Card trading is, Us Gift Card Traders have to go in knowing that at any point we could get scammed, and this isn’t like online payments like skrill or google and Apple Pay, once you send the code, YOU ARE DONE. AmyG is a scammer, she scammed out of a $10 Amazon Gift Card, replied “fake card”, and cancelled the trade, I’m not going to debate whether or not it is my fault, I am just reporting who is a scammer.

Segwit trasnactions with python. Video tutorial.
Once in a while, I get in the mode of creating tutorials - and this time I worked on a segwit transactions tutorial. Generating a bitcoin transaction is easier than what most people think. It's all about gathering information -> processing it -> and finally, serializing it. Anyone with a basic understanding of coding and bitcoin can quickly write their own transactions using (almost) raw code.
In this tutorial, I go through the steps of generating a segwit transaction using python 3.6. The tutorial is made out of 3 parts. And yes, I know that there are some audio issues, but hey, they're not that bad.

Reminder: there has been 1.5B UDST and $1.9B LEO minted since April 1st.
In the bull run of 2017, there were roughly 2 Billion USDT issued from Aug 1st to the Jan-2018 peak, a period in which BTC market cap grew by $290B, a ratio of roughly:
1 USDT issued : $145 increase in BTC Market Cap
Compare that to the recent sharp increase in Bitfinex's 'liquidity products". Since April 1st 2019, there have been $3.5B equivalent issued (USDT/LEO), but the market cap of BTC has only increased $97B, or:
$1* assets issued : $27.7 increase in BTC Market Cap
There seems to be less organic investment gambling on a crippled chain (BTC), or trust a company currently under investigation.
If Bitfinex is able to sustain the current ratio of asset issuance to BTC market cap, and the next BTC run follows a similar pattern to previous ones, there will be about 108B in liquidity products issued and a BTC market cap of $3T.
However it seems given the sharp drop leverage these assets have to pump the price a number of things might be happening:
- Institutional investors came away from 2017 believing that Bitcoin, and therefore blockchain, cannot scale.
- Smart money started trading against the pronounced correlation between liquidity issuance and price increase.
- Users are less willing to wait days or weeks to have transactions clear on BTC.
- The leverage of liquidity injection is down because this is a premature bull run.
Either way, you can't fool all the people all the time.

He or she is a scammer who charged back funds on Google Pay after receiving Bitcoin Cash. He or she has since taken down the google pay offer after charging back the funds.
I will take some responsibility too and should have not released the bitcoin cash so soon. I just talked with Google Support who verified my assertion that the sender was the one who asked for the payment to be canceled.

We need to distance BCH from Libra, because Libra is going to get hit with a wall of lead from regulators
Libra is already getting intense scrutiny from regulators around the world. Russia flat out said it won't be legal. Europe and the US are calling for a regulatory review.
Libra is a basket of national currencies and a stable coin. We need to make it crystal clear that this is NOT the same thing as a decentralized proof-of-work cryptocurrency like BCH.
Libra could draw all sorts of heavy flak from regulators. We need to make sure that flak doesn't hit BCH.
