BTC lightning network and its usage

to solve the ever growing problem of bitcoin speed, lightning network has been introduced. Despite the fact that protocol is launched and there are wallets that support lightning network, whats the reason why this is still not widely used?

Wallet I never created has received thousands of dollars...

I just noticed in my junk folder that I’ve got dozens of “Transaction Received” emails from blockchain.com over the last week. The transactions total is a substantial sum, tens of thousands of dollars. The thing is I don’t have a bitcoin wallet and have never signed up with blockchain.com. I would ignore it since my traditional bank accounts appear secure, but I don’t want my email associated with anything nefarious. I sent blockchain.com a support request to say I never registered with them. Can anyone give me some advice?
