Two days left until 200-days moving average at ATH

In a few days, both simple and exponential 200-days moving average on BTC/USD will be at an all-time-high (as long as we stay above $11000). For long-term stock and FX traders, that's an extremely bullish signal on the most commonly used moving-average period, especially given that the 50-days moving average is more than 12% above the 200-days one.

“Satoshi” is a mis-transcription

Satoshi is really a poor phonetic transcription of Tȟaŋháŋši which roughly translates to cousin in Lakȟótiyapi

Hey guys, when someone says "mining reward", is it the block reward or block reward + total transaction fees?

Because if we think it through, even if ABC forces itself a split by taking 8% and orphaning non-IFP blocks, they have a minimum "funding" of 0.5 BCH until next Halving. Per block. And with a better algorithm, it'll be a consistent (0.5 BCH times 144 blocks) per day.

Why does everything in bitcoin use double hash (HASH256) except BIP141?

UPDATE: Answered on twitter

Going through the protocol, it seems like everything uses a double hash (OP_HASH256, OP_HASH160), except BIP-141 which uses the single hash (OP_SHA256) function.

Any reason why double-hash seemed to be agreed upon everywhere in the protocol, but was not deemed necessary for P2WSH or BIP16-P2WSH?
