I’ve been following Bitcoin/ alts for years but never had money to invest in it, am now able to put regular money in and am wondering what is a good target to aim for? 5k? 10k? 20k? More??
I am mainly trying to go for 70% btc, 20% eth & a small amounts in variously alts
Has anyone else noticed all of the US government activity around BTC lately? First, exchanges are getting hammered: Bitmex execs got disappeared , Binance got outed for their "Thai Chi corporation", and Bitfinex is taking more and more heat from the NYAG. The $1 billion Silk Road coins were seized by USG, but they won't say who "Individual X" is. All of this with a backdrop of huge ongoing BTC mempool bomb (reminiscent of November 2017 when BTC pumped and dumped from $20k->$3k) and a huge Tether pump ($700+ million this month alone, again similar to 2017).
It almost feels like "she's ready to blow"...
I moved my original BTC some time ago (post fork), but it appears that Trezor may have removed their original coin splitting tools. I have also looked at guides and even attempted to install Electron Cash on an old Raspberry Pi 2 (I think 32 bit is not compatible).
Additionally, my BCH addresses do not "appear" in Trezor despite the (BTC) addresses existing pre fork, so I can't send the unsplit coins or tainted BCH anywhere.
Are there any wallets compatible with Trezor where I might be able to sign and split/move my coins? I really would like to avoid buying new hardware and messing with Electron Cash, if possible. And ultimately, my goal would be to convert BSV to BCH within the next week but honestly I fear that my coins will continue to be readily inaccessible for another few years.
Any suggestions for the non-savy?
I'm not a libertarian. I'm not a socialist, nor a Democrat, nor Republican. Hell, I'm not even American! And Roger Ver? Well he is a bit annoying isn't he* and is almost diametrically opposite me politically.
So why am I here?
Well primarily, I'm a technologist. I read the white paper back in 2011 and immediately understood that it would work. In 2013, I benefited greatly from using Bitcoin to move money between countries, something that used to incur large fees from the traditional banks. Well, I was hooked!
I think BCH is the coin that is most aligned with the future of crypto, but I do have close friends from early meetups who went with Bitcoin BTC at the fork, including even my old flatmate who told me about Bitcoin in the first place!
Anyway, my point is that these are real people with real feelings, so just as the US is coming together and healing, maybe it's time for many BTC supporters who are on that edge.
*So I should qualify how Mr Ver is annoying. I think it's largely about differences between our societies.
