Best and easiest hardware wallet for long term secure storage?

Hi r/bitcoin. I’m a total bitcoin noob. I’m thinking about buying a little bit of bitcoin and putting it in a hardware wallet and sticking it in a safe deposit box at a bank. What kind of hardware wallet would be best and EASIEST for an abject rookie to use and do something like that?

How much is a decent amount to have invested in crypto, long term?

I’ve been following Bitcoin/ alts for years but never had money to invest in it, am now able to put regular money in and am wondering what is a good target to aim for? 5k? 10k? 20k? More??

I am mainly trying to go for 70% btc, 20% eth & a small amounts in variously alts
