Why is Bitcoin worth anything?

From my understanding, Bitcoin was worth something because it was used as an actual currency that was decentralized from banks. Now banks own shit tons of Bitcoin, and transaction fees are so high you can’t even use it as a practical currency. So why is it even increasing in value, and what is its actual worth? Am I missing something?

Hi, my name is John and I am building xmrTo.cash, a clone of XMR.to, a dead simple way to convert BCH and XMR and send BCH to another BCH address "through" XMR. Looking for a front end dev and feedback.

I've been a long time BTC, BCH, ETH and XMR user and holder and feel like a BCH and XMR conversion service would be huge for the community.

The site my partner and I are building does only TWO things. Coverts BCH and XMR (BCH <--> XMR) and lets users send BCH "through" XMR (BCH --> XMR --> BCH).

  1. Yes, I am aware of Cash Fusion and love it. I think it serves a great purpose but still feel there is room for a dead simple "app" to simply send XMR as BCH. For many cases I hold BCH in a hot wallet and want to pay for something innocuous but somewhat private like a VPN, porn or just pay a friend. This service is a fast easy way to do just that.

2) Yes, I am aware of sideshift.ai. These sites are great but serve a wide audience and are more general. They charge 1-2% in fees and take A LOT of time and effort to run. By specializing the back end can remain incredibly simple (in comparison) and we do not need to rely on outside exchanges, allowing us to offer any fee we want, planning on 0.25-0.5% since we are not splitting it with a larger exchange.

3) We are looking for someone to join out small team. I have some web development experiance and my partner specialize in back end development but we are looking for someone to help with the front end. Essentially a dead simple site much like xmr.to. We are building at xmrTo.cash. The site is not live yet but we are getting close to having a working prototype.

4) Please get in touch if you want to help or invest. We are looking for any thoughts, feedback or advice. Thanks so much, and BCH to the moon ;) Especially would love to get in touch with people like u/georgedonnelly, u/memorydealers, u/kimdotcom to ask if this is a project worth pursuing.

Getting Out Of Big Tech Control

We need a grass roots movement of all ages refusing to buy from any advertisers on FB, Twitter, etc. This is the only way we can impact them to stop sensoring and manipulating us while making billions off of us. It them in the pocket or just let them take more abd more of your freedom from you. We need an international movement along the lines of GME. Save your future put these above the law giants back under the same laws that apply to all.
