Bitcoin Core as a settlement layer moves most of its transactional economy to less secure layers, a blockchain is only as strong as its weakest link.

On BTC most transactions won't happen on the base layer but on other layers and companies offering custodial wallets. I'm certain it won't take long for them to be "hacked". There is a reason for the well-known "Not your keys, not your coins", more than a few lost their crypto when they trusted thirdparties. People will need to learn the hard way.

Lightning Network is got more security holes than swiss cheese and it won't be long for hackers to make the best of it.

A blockchain is only as strong as its weakest link.
