How would BTC work as legal tender in countries for buying day to day goods?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question and there’s already a well known answer that i’m somehow not realising but with the news of Argentina’s president considering following El Salvador in their BTC adoption I was left wondering how this will work.

I don’t even mean like large scale how will the system work but more so price for things in stores etc, would a chocolate bar be priced at 0.00002145BTC, would everything just be priced with many decimal places or would the price be shown in dollars but just paid for in BTC?

Again apologies if a silly question but just curious if anyone has any ideas.
