Yesterday we participated in a Twitch. During the live we were sending Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to the viewers. More than 25 Argentines downloaded the wallet and received BCH. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g44E9vSc36k
Using past cycles as predictors in a 10 year old asset class that now has 100x adoption (retail and institutional) seems dumb. I don’t buy the Bitcoin halving trend anymore because it’s so obviously known and accounted for.
If “Crypto Winter” is coming you tell me how it happens John Snow…
Gaze.cash is a video monetization platform. Viewers pay content creators in BCH for every view.
Over the last week I did a big outreach to NSFW content creators and that has created momentum for gaze.cash, Since the onlyfans announcement interest in gaze.cash went up even more, New videos are being uploaded by the hour (including A LOT of videos from creators that I did not reach out to myself!!). The amount of paying viewers has also increased significantly.
Since the last time I updated I also added these features to gaze.cash.
- The ability to specify your own price for videos. This is something I originally did not want to do but since it was heavily requested by content creators I added it. I also allowed it to be specified in dollars (so the price in satoshi for a video will vary as the price of BCH fluctuates.
- The ability to filter out all non-NSFW videos.
- The dollar value of your balance is now also displayed on the web wallet.
You bought bitcoin at $50,000? LUCKY they shout. Before our pride gets to us and our ego makes our head so big it can't get through the door, this is a repeat of what happened before.
The people who bought Amazon in 2000.
How about the crazy woman who put $5,000 into netflix in the beginning?
How about that friend who has half his IRA in Tesla?
That guy who took his sales commissions and kept buying real estate in 2014,2015,2016,2017?
That family friend who bought gold in the early 70s (no joke my dad's friend did this-he sold and even borrowed to buy as much gold as possible in the early 70s).
Most of society doesn't want to invest. We could state that most cannot invest due to wages. FAIR point. However, I know tons of people who could invest-they have the disposable income. They don't want to. I repeat -they do NOT want to. They don't want to learn. They want to just roll with it. Maybe they put some money into what their advisor recommends. And why does he recommend it? His boss told him it's a good investment.
If you are buying bitcoin, unless you are trying to be a quick trader (hint: most traders lose money), you have done something different. Bitcoin is not close to on the radar for most people. You have accepted volatility in exchange for a long term vision. Best of luck!
