Should I switch to segwit or stay legacy?

I've got some coin I'm hodling, which is on a legacy wallet. I'm not doing any transactions out, only in.

Is there a reason I should switch to segwit or just keep it legacy?

I am aware of segwit cutting down the data of the transaction, thus giving you lower fees, but again I'm not sending out the wallet so im not sure if that even matters for me as of now.

Should I leave it legacy, or just switch the funds over to segwit just cause?

Appreciate all and any feedback!

Mitigating Risk Of Accepting BTC/BCH as a payments for Digital Design Service / Development

Hi,

Sorry if this is not the right place but thought might be useful info for those interested.

I think there is a lack of digital design and IT development service companies out there that is accepting bitcoins as payments for services. I guess most probably because of it's volatility.

I currently run a small digital agency called useaninja.com

useaninja.com gives you access a team of expert ninjas that is ready to provide IT and Digital Services for you in a swift and skilful manner. Ninjas are hand picked and vetted for their outstanding quality and proficiency in their area of expertise.

Recently we have open up to accept BTC, BCH (using coinbase backend) as a payment method for professional service delivery. I am trying to gauge if in the long term it is a viable option to have it as a payment option.

Curious to hear the pitfalls on going down this path and how to mitigate the risk of volatility.

  1. Should i convert BTC to Fiat straight away upon the order? Or delay till the service has been completed.
  2. We have a money back guarantee which makes it a bit tricky for refunds if the rate fluctuates. How should this be addressed? Currently refund will be in whatever original payment method given which is ok for short term projects but might pose a challenge for longer duration projects.
  3. The ninjas on the other hand needs to be paid in fiat mostly (while some don't mind to receive them in crypto.) What do you think is the best way to handle this as part of the policy?

Currently the services provided are limited to Amazon Alexa Skills development and Infographic Designs but a few more services are being rolled out as we recruit more Ninjas and hence the impact /issues of accepting bitcoin will be magnified.

Cheers
