Obviously people are happy with the way BTC price has been going these past few weeks now, but these transaction fees are starting to become a killer. I mean fees are at 3.86 usd for the next block. Am i going to be paying somewhere around 30 usd again here in a few months? Granted I haven't tried out Lighting myself yet. I hear you can only reliably send like 0.07 usd through Lighting and the process is painful. So what is the plan then to get these fees down? I know this subreddit has been moving more towards BCH and I totally underestimated it 2017. I wish I didn't offload it ASAP after the fork. However, BTC still has the highest marketcap, so that is the beast to deal with. No one talks about other solutions beyond Lighting, so if you have any input there I would love to hear it. I'm just worried because this next run could really put a strain on the network and I don't see any real plans beyond Lighting which seems like a crapshoot at best right now.
