has anyone noticed fees are regularly surpassing 2btc on top of regular block reward?

at this rate we may see fees surpassing 6.25btc reward before it halves once again.

there was once concern that there would be no incentive to mine once the reward drops significantly but it's clear that adoption has prompted significant returns in fees alone.

the future is bright.
