Most forks are either contentious or shameless money grabs, but I think this could actually be a worthwhile project. Monero's ASIC-resistance seems to spare them a lot of drama, as they don't have to curry favor with big miners. A RandomX fork of BCH could copy all the other code from existing projects, wallets, CashFusion, SLP, etc. The first thing the project would need is a system to provide atomic-swaps between XMR and RandomX-BCH.
I think such a project could be an interesting bridge between the XMR and BCH communities. It would give XMR miners another coin they can mine, it wouldn't have to fight for hash power with BTC and BSV, and it could leverage the privacy benefits of both BCH and XMR. Also, I don't think you'd need to worry about replay protection if you switched algorithms? Every BCH holder would get an airdrop, and it would basically be another expression of the bitcoin experiment, operating under its own name.
What do you think? Is it a project you could support, or something that shouldn't exist?
