TLDR: Consider the title. Wikipedia is such a nice project and we should not only treasure, but help it remain free. The Tale: Here follow the little tale of my donation tonight: I was just prompted by Wikipedia with a plea for donation, as they do periodically and decided to chip in. The initial popup only offered me bank transfers, credit card, paypal and boletos (a Brazilian thing). Intrigued, I went to the donations page to investigate if crypto was accepted and discoved that the Wikimedia Foundation also accepts its through Bitpay. https://donate.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ways_to_Give#Cryptocurrency Of course, Bitpay asked me for a lot of personal data (name, address, etc), that I promptly filled with gibberish. KYC won't hold me from donating here. The for allowed. After that it was only a matter of selecting a wallet and currency. Of course I used BCH because I want to donate a small amount this time.
