North Dakota State University Center To Host Global Blockchain Conference On Oct. 27

NDSU To Host Global Blockchain Conference

North Dakota State University Center (NDSU) for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise is gearing up to host the Global Blockchain Conference on October 27, 2018, at the Memorial Union. The conference will focus on Research and Practice (RAP) at the conference.

The basic function of blockchain-based technology is to transmit information publicly and simultaneously maintain the identities that are associated with the accounts as private. Experts believe that this is one of the most secure ways of storing the data and transacting it. At the conference, practitioners and researchers will come together to learn details about blockchain technology and how it can disrupt area industries.

Some of the topics that will be discussed at the conference include ag supply chains, the money market, economic organization, governance in finance and law and privacy. According to the director of the Center for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise, Jeremy Jackson, “The vision behind this conference is to bring academics and entrepreneurs together to unlock innovative ways we can use blockchain technology to grow and diversify the North Dakota economy.”

While talking about the global blockchain conference, the faculty fellow at the Center for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise, James Caton stated that the conference is first of its kind and provides a big opportunity for entrepreneurs as well as the students in their area to learn better and latest things from the blockchain experts, reported NDSU News.

As per the report, entrepreneurs are expected to come up with new ideas on how to exploit the blockchain technology power so that it could benefit the industries. Researchers will be able to learn more about the latest innovations and challenges that the industries are facing in implementing the blockchain-based ideas.

Another blockchain conference is about to take place on 13 October 2018 at the Central New Mexico Community College where government officials and local business people will be able to learn the advantages of blockchain technology, reported Albuquerque Journal. The BlockFiesta will be hosted by the New Mexico Blockchain Alliance in collaboration with a nonprofit enterprise CNM Ingenuity.

Do you guys want a shapeshift for Bitcoin Cash with no registration and no limits / KYC / AML bullshit?

I am outraged by the tightening of forced information handout and increased control over crypto by governments and I'd like to do something about it.

I have some money and free time and I'm thinking of building something like this, the features would be:

  • BCH to any other crypto
  • any crypto to BCH
  • No upper limits for trade, no waiting
  • No KYC / AML, No questions asked
  • No e-mail or personal info needed

I'm thinking of hosting the website in a country that doesn't respect KYC/AML subpoenas and requests from the US.

What do y'all think?

Ex-Bitmain Chip Designer Takes on Crypto's Mining Goliath

At Yang Zuoxing’s modest office a short drive from the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing, desks are strewn with cryptocurrency mining equipment and cots stand ready for engineers too exhausted to go home after marathon days at work.

This is Yang’s bunker as he fights an uphill battle against Bitmain Technologies -- his old employer and the world’s dominant provider of crypto mining chips -- that may include an initial public offering for Yang’s two-year-old startup as soon as next year.

Yang says he helped Bitmain design its market-leading technology but left the company in June 2016 after co-founders Jihan Wu and Micree Zhan turned down his request for a stake in the business. Yang started his own crypto chip company, MicroBT, a month later. He now claims his firm’s mining gear is just as...

The bullshit narrative of Liquid being pretty good and trustworthy because you don't need to trust Blockstream, and only have to trust the exchanges who would never collude against each other or the system...

Who's responsible for the software updates? Blockstream. Is there any sort of forking mechanism where an exchange could say "I don't want to run the new version" - what the heck would happen there? One would imagine they'd be black-balled by Blockstream.

What happens when authorities get involved and go to Blockstream and request either access or changes etc.. ? They've already tried to get Linus Torvalds to introduce backdoors into Linux, but as a man of character he refused. Do you guys think Adam Back is a man of character?

So you need to trust Blockstream (total centralization) and you need to trust the majority of the exchanges. Good luck with that.
