NDSU To Host Global Blockchain Conference

North Dakota State University Center (NDSU) for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise is gearing up to host the Global Blockchain Conference on October 27, 2018, at the Memorial Union. The conference will focus on Research and Practice (RAP) at the conference.

The basic function of blockchain-based technology is to transmit information publicly and simultaneously maintain the identities that are associated with the accounts as private. Experts believe that this is one of the most secure ways of storing the data and transacting it. At the conference, practitioners and researchers will come together to learn details about blockchain technology and how it can disrupt area industries.

Some of the topics that will be discussed at the conference include ag supply chains, the money market, economic organization, governance in finance and law and privacy. According to the director of the Center for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise, Jeremy Jackson, “The vision behind this conference is to bring academics and entrepreneurs together to unlock innovative ways we can use blockchain technology to grow and diversify the North Dakota economy.”

While talking about the global blockchain conference, the faculty fellow at the Center for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise, James Caton stated that the conference is first of its kind and provides a big opportunity for entrepreneurs as well as the students in their area to learn better and latest things from the blockchain experts, reported NDSU News.

As per the report, entrepreneurs are expected to come up with new ideas on how to exploit the blockchain technology power so that it could benefit the industries. Researchers will be able to learn more about the latest innovations and challenges that the industries are facing in implementing the blockchain-based ideas.

Another blockchain conference is about to take place on 13 October 2018 at the Central New Mexico Community College where government officials and local business people will be able to learn the advantages of blockchain technology, reported Albuquerque Journal. The BlockFiesta will be hosted by the New Mexico Blockchain Alliance in collaboration with a nonprofit enterprise CNM Ingenuity.
