Canara Robeco MF Appoints Krishna Sanghavi As Head – Equities

Canara Robeco MF has appointed Krishna Sanghavi as a Head – Equities of the AMC, with effect from July 30, 2018.

Mr. Sanghavi served as a Senior Fund Manager of Equities at Canara Robeco AMC before being appointed as the Head of Equities of the fund house. Prior to that, he was the Fund Manager of Canara Robeco fund complex.

The 45 years old Sanghavi worked as a Vice President, Head of Equities, and Fund Manager at Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited before joining Canara Robeco Mutual Fund. He served for Kotak Mahindra AMC from February 2006 to September 2012, managing equity portfolio.

He worked as a Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance Co. Ltd, from January 2001 to February 2006. Before that, he worked at Kotak Mahindra Primus Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. He started working with the Kotak Mahindra Group in 1997.

He has remarkable knowledge and experience in Dealer Finance, Credit Appraisal & Credit Risk Management, Business Planning and Fund Management.

The new Equities Head of Canara Robeco MF holds B.Com, ICWA, and MMS (Finance) as his educational qualifications. Sanghavi is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) from ICFAI and a Cost & Works Accountant from ICWAI, according to the details available at Bloomberg.

Recently, Canara Robeco AMC appointed Abhinav Khandelwal as the new Fund Manager for overseas investments, with effective from June 20, 2018. Khandelwal served as the fund manager at Aegon Life Insurance Company prior to joining the fund house.

Also, the AMC has altered the exit load on Canara Robeco Corporate Bond Fund, Canara Robeco Income Saver Fund, and Canara Robeco Equity Debt Allocation Fund, and has revised the fund management of Canara Robeco Income Saver Fund and Canara Robeco Consumer Trends Fund, during the third week of June 2018, we reported in an article on July 10, 2018.

Canara Robeco MF announced the news of the appointment of Sanghavi as the Equities Head in a statement, according to KJMC.
