FMCG Index Gains 0.37 Percent In Stock Exchange, Shares Of Tata Global Jump 5 Percent

Nifty FMCG index in the green in Stock Exchange; Tata Global jumps 5 percent

On 14th September the Nifty FMCG index was exchanging 0.37 percent in stock exchange up at 30,943 around 02:55 pm. Most FMCG stocks were encountering solid selling weight amid this session.

The Nifty FMCG was exchanging 1.91 percent down at 30,222 at 12:06 pm.

Shares of Tata Global Beverages (up 5.37 percent) were the best gainers in the FMCG index, trailed by Dabur India (up 3.41 percent), United Spirits (up 2.06 percent) and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (up 2.05 percent).

Emami (up 1.57 percent), Britannia Industries (up 1.35 percent), Marico (up 0.71 percent) and United Breweries (up 0.50 percent) too joined the pack of index gainers.

Godrej Consumer Products (down 2.72 percent), Godrej Industries (down 1.81 percent), Marico (down 1.71 percent) and Colgate-Palmolive (India) (down 1.50 percent) were among the top losers in the FMCG record.

However, Jubilant Foodworks (down 0.77 percent), Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Healthcare (down 0.53 percent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.25 percent), and ITC (down 0.08 percent) were in the red around that time.

Equity market in stock exchange was in the positive territory on solid purchasing by speculators as the mechanical creation developed at 6.6 percent in July and retail expansion cooled to a 10-month low.

Inflation based on discount costs facilitated to a four-month low of 4.53 percent in August on softening of costs of food articles, particularly vegetables.

Benchmark BSE Sensex was 89 focuses down at 37,833, while the NSE Nifty50 index was down 24 points at 11,414.

According to Economic Times update, among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were exchanging the green, while 8 were in the red. Indiabulls Housing Finance, BPCL, UPL, Vedanta, and HPCL highlighted among the best Nifty gainers.

SBI, M&M and Bajaj Finserv were among the best gainers in the stock exchange Nifty index, while Titan, ITC and Hero MotoCorp were among the failures in the Nifty pack of stocks, as per recent data of Economic Times.
