This is the situation as I understand it with little nuance- Fact: bitcoin core manipulated discussion boards and banned discussion to drive their arguments into popularity Fact: bitcoin cores layers like Segwit and lightning over complicate the infrastructure of the network
Bch:
Fact: roger ver is one of your biggest spokesmen and he consistently uses misleading information to make people think the bch fork is the original bitcoin and anyone who understands forks knows this isn’t how bitcoin works regardless of the foul play bitcoin core committed. He also doesn’t even understand mesh network topology and thought bitcoin was a full mesh, that’s what he actually thinks peer to peer means.
Fact: bch is the original vision of satoshi, it is clear he wanted to scale by block size and allow hashing power to segregate into large mining farms Fact: Satoshi nakamoto did not believe in an appeal to authority, and I don’t think he would want his name used in a scaling debate as leverage and is one of the reasons he remained anonymous.
Climate Fact: both sides are toxic and shit on each other and I believe in merit so I don’t want to hear any victimhood mentality about he rhetoric. Members of both groups are objectively and observably dicks to each other. Corporate foul play is a separate discussion as I believe you are correct about that

As long as people get cheap payment systems, and thanks to bitcoin cash that is currently possible; but let’s not get an ego because many other cryptos allow the same thing.
