He has been somewhat of a prolific public figure. Showing up at events, tweeting about developments and forks, some would even say shit posting from time to time.
There were a lot of unsubstantiated rumours in November and December that he was being ousted from the Bitmain board of directors and his CEO position.
I don't believe anything came of that, but at the same time, Bitmain hasn't been making much at all in the way of public announcements. The last tweet by Jihan was December 3, 2018 and the last activity by him on Twitter was to repost a Gemini announcement on December 7, 2018.
Since that time I haven't been able to find any activity or comment by Jihan anywhere.
Given all the rumours circling about his ousting from Bitmain, their precarious financial position, the results of the SV fork, etc., I would have expected some form of public communication within the last 2 months.
Given that China has a less than stellar human rights record, and makes it a regular practice of simply disappearing people or showing up with an execution van to murder people on the spot, should we be concerned that Jihan has been so quiet in recent months?
Has anyone had any direct contact from him within the last 60 days that they can provide proof of?
