BTC unexpected death custody

Hey fellow cryptopeeps,

What's your current plan for your beneficiaries to receive your assets in the event of an unexpected death or becoming mentally incapacitated? Have you verified your plan is legal under state estate laws? It's illegal for people who aren't executors to handle assets in at least some states from what I see.

Did you share your passwords with them or write down and store them ( safe, safety deposit box, ect.)? Do you use a dead man switch with a signed transaction? Do you share a multisig wallet or address?

Curious if this is something others worry about as much as me. I'm working on a personal solution atm, and may open source. Might create a hosted service around it if there's demand as well.
