Right now according to fork.lol BTC 3hr average fees per block is $1,448.81 and TXs per block is 2297.71 yielding an average fee of $0.656. Given you need two TXs to open/close a LN channel, you need to buy 1,313 coffees just to match the payment efficiency of what Bitcoin Cash can do buying one coffee. You also need to lock a minimum of $5,906 in your channel. And this assumes only a centralising single channel is used and no routing/watchtower/liquidity provider fees are included.
