Bitcoin.com wallet and no internet connection error

Searched and didn't find anyone else having this error.
Opening the app throws up an error that there is "No Internet Connection". I tried restarting phone, disconnecting wifi and reconnecting, clearing the cache, force stopping the app, updating the app. Nothing works.
