I lost my phone a few weeks back, and along with it my SIM. No big deal, I'll just buy another phone and SIM.
Fastforward a few weeks and I go to access my blockchain wallet, it wants to know my wallet ID so I have it emailed to me, I go to open my email and gmail hits me with sms verification required, we don't recognize this device (I'm using my other laptop). Only problem is I don't have my old SIM anymore and gmail only has my phone number as an option to regain access.
And just like that, $17,500 dollars in Bitcoin gone. Over a fucking phone number. Fuck. You. gmail.
