Electron cash password

Ok so I set up an electron cash wallet and of course I forget the password to get into it. I wrote down the private key but can’t quite get the password lol. I didn’t have anything in that wallet so I don’t really care why happens to the wallet but the problem is I can’t figure out how to set up another wallet on my computer. Any suggestions?
