I believe this is the reason they are constantly attacking Bitcoin Cash, if Lightning Network fails they are F###t. Notice most of Maxi's knowledge is not very technical, they just follow the Blockstream/Bitcoin Core narrative; so it was easy for them to be fooled into believing Lightning Network could work. For instance, Tone Vays did not know he will need to run his own node, watchtowers, open channels, and be online to receive payments! As Bitcoin Cash price increases or even just remains active while at the same time Lightning Network fails to deliver any real-world use, the risk increases for those holding only Bitcoin Core! Even if some traction happens eventually, LN is an easy target for hackers. Every attack will show what we been telling everyone for years. LN is conceptually and fundamentally broken! I think the smartest ones never sold their Bitcoin Cash, they know Lightning Network would fail. Now imagine a world where Bitcoin Cash gets traction in retail, it works as a currency AND as a store of value. Do you see Bitcoin Core existing in such a scenario while competing with the narrative of Digital Gold and Layer 2 Lightning Network for scaling? If Blockstream did not dictate the narrative by means of censorship, sockpuppets, and control of main information channels, do you think people will still believe Bitcoin Core and Lightning Network are the correct solution? I certainly think not, and what is amazing is that more and more people are learning and understanding that Lightning Network is fundamentally broken and can't scale, and thus the narrative of digital gold is starting to collapse. Every day that passes and Lightning Network does not deliver, it increases the risk for those holding only Bitcoin Core! Tick Tock Maxis. And remember, not your keys, not your coins.
