Coinswap (Keys4Coins) Review

I wanted to share a brief review of my experience with Coinswap at Keys4Coins as I was asked by OlavOlsm to do this after I used the service to trade BCH/BSV.

The request (and link to coinswap) is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/a1lla4/looking_for_an_exchange_to_sell_bsv_bittrex_failed/earrekl/

Firstly, I have used ShapeShift style services before, so I will review Keys4Coins in comparison to the services that I have used. In the past I used ShapeShift quite a lot (probably 200+ trades) and also Flyp.me (hundreds of trades). I also used ChangeNow a couple of times. The downside with ShapeShift now is the KYC and Flyp.me whilst having no KYC (at last check) does not support BCH and these days I'm all-in on BCH. So, one of the obviously attractive things for me is that Keys4Coins works with BCH and BSV and according to the developer/site owner uses Bittrex to execute the exchanges.

So I tried this service today, initially with a small amount of crypto (approx $30USD worth) and the process was very simple. I picked what I wanted to send, what I wanted to receive, put in the destination address, and using Electron-Cash and the ability to swap between the ABC and SV networks, sent and confirmed the receipt of my trade. This all happened in fairly quick succession so I didn't really notice the UX (progress screens) until after the trade was done.

The second trade took a bit longer (higher amount) and initially I thought the trade had maybe got stuck, but it was just that 20 confirmations were required. Once they were achieved, the trade completed successfully. All up a seamless and painless experience. I did get a bit longer this time to scrutinize the UI / user experience.

Some comparison of the Keys4Coins process versus other exchange sites.

Pros

o Has BCH(ABC) and BCH (SV) pairs.

o Easy to use UI.

o Not a scam; exchanges were executed faithfully.

o Responsive support.

o Track record / history of Keys4Coins.

Cons

(All of these are really just minor things).

o Required phone verification for the larger trade (the smaller one did not ask), but this is not a problem for me compared to the rubber glove treatment that ShapeShift now does on customers.

o The "Verification" tab says "The exchange wallet address where you transferred XYZ?" after which it lists the deposit address. (This was a little confusing at first, because of the question mark and the name of the tab, I thought it was asking me to verify something and required further input, but actually it is just telling you where you deposited to). The plus side is that it provides an easy link to the block chain explorer to see how the deposit is going.

o Other exchange sites (such as Flyp.me) are better at indicating how many confirmations are required and how many have been obtained, but this is really only an issue if you are nervous like I was on my first significant use of the site. For a trustworthy site it's not really a big deal.

o Lots of confirmations potentially means that the quoted exchange rate is subject to variation.

EDIT: Formatting and typos.
