I read the following article from unwriter. While I don't necessarily agree with all his points, nevertheless I feel that it is important to be able to listen to critics in order to self reflect and improve upon oneself. One thing I am aligned with unwriter is that ABC developers need to be more collaborative with other developers, especially from Bitcoin Unlimited. I saw the video where developers such as Amaury, Jason, Emil, Andrew were discussing stuff and ABC folks seem quite dismissive of opposing ideas. Their tone and their choice of words gave me that impression so I hope ABC folks can do something about it.
The other thing I agree with unwriter is having a stable platform to build on top of. We can't keep following up with ABC changes if what they are doing keeps on breaking our work. And other developers who see they need to recode their BCH stuff for the umpteen times just to get it to work again, is just discouraging. We need a stable platform to build on top of.
I hope the ABC folks take this as constructive criticism as a way of progress moving forward. People who don't learn from history are bound to repeat them.
