We need to let the exchanges know that this service disruption was not acceptable. Just because someone is attacking the network with a hostile fork does not mean it's acceptable to stop all transactions. What if my livelyhood depended on BCH? How could businesses thinkinking of adopting BCH maintain confidence when they may not be able to exchange their coin to cash to pay suppliers? We need to send a message to exchanges to never let this happen again.
