So despite gigantic losses and losing the exchange listing battle, the SV mining network is still going all out to get a majority of hash power and catch up/pass the ABC chain. What's the endgame there?

They've driven the PoW gap down to near 43% and are keeping within a few blocks with miners at about the max they've ever been (slightly below, but comparable). With a coin reward that is basically worthless (<$50, illiquid/not listed). With bills to pay in fiat and opportunity cost vs. mining BCH or BTC.

Is there any reason other than flat out hostile attack they're keeping at it?
