Aditya Birla Mutual Fund Announces Dividend For Midcap, SmallCap, and Equity Advantage Funds

Aditya Birla Mutual Fund declares dividend under three schemes – Aditya Birla Sun Life Midcap Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Small Cap Fund, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Advantage Fund scheme.

The fund house has announced August 30, 2018, as the record date for declaration of dividend under the three schemes.

The amount of dividend on the face value of 10 Rupees per unit for the Regular Plan – Dividend Option of the Midcap Fund is 2.18 Rupees per unit, and that for the Direct Plan-Dividend Option of the scheme is 3.31 Rupees per unit.

The amount of dividend on the face value of 10 Rupees per unit for the Regular Plan – Dividend Option of the Small Cap Fund is 1.48 Rupees per unit.

The amount of dividend on the face value of 10 Rupees per unit for the Regular Plan – Dividend Option of the Equity Advantage Fund scheme of the Aditya Birla Mutual Fund is 6.49 Rupees per unit, and that for the Direct Plan-Dividend Option of the scheme is 8.23 Rupees per unit.

According to Mahesh Patil, Co-CIO of Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, largecap schemes will continue to capture investors’ attention and will perform well in future as long as the problems in the overall MF industry persists.

Even though midcap schemes did well in CY17, largecap MF schemes started performing well from December 2017. Earlier, midcap schemes and largecap schemes have done well alternately during different periods.

Largecap schemes are doing well and getting listed at the top of the charts with 17 percent average returns in the last one year. Many largecap MF schemes witnessed underperformance with respect to their benchmark. Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund is one such largecap MF scheme.

However, many largecap mutual fund schemes like Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund have constantly outperformed their benchmark over the past three to five years, said Patil, according to The Economic Times.
