Advocates of the digital currencies will be pleased to note that cryptocurrency prices have been stable since August 24. Incidentally, Lisk has seen an impressive upward movement within the last 24 hours.
While the cryptocurrency market has exhibited stability in the last 24 hours, the total market cap is now just one-fourth of what it was around eight months ago. The most notable gain has been made by Lisk as it made the most significant move featuring in the top 30 cryptocurrencies. The currency has witnessed a jump of 15.5 percent to 4.67 USD since Friday, August 24.
The volume of Lisk as approximately doubled to around 11 million USD as the launch of mainnet scheduled on August 29 comes closer. In fact, Lisk has had the distinction of being one of those few virtual currencies whose prices went up this Friday.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin also managed to make a little gain on Friday, August 24. It went up by 1.7 percent and closed at a value of 6,550 USD.
However, Ethereum did not share the same luck as its value stuck to a level of 275 USD. The price inactivity of ETH could be an outcome of the drop in the ERC20 token, several of which hit the lowest levels for more than a year.
It Has Been Mixed Performance For Altcoins
While altcoins seem to have a proclivity for success, the gains have been insignificant. After all, not much progress has taken place over the last 24 hours. Some other altcoins whose cryptocurrency prices went up include Gas, CyberMiles, and Theta Token. On the other hand, digital currencies like Aurora and RChain both plunged, losing more than 5 percent at the moment.
With the slight improvement in the cryptocurrency prices, the overall cryptomarket cap went up 1.4 percent to 211 billion USD during the same period, newsBTC wrote. So, there is a flicker of hope despite crypto markets being at a low level since November 2017.
