I've interacted in censored communities before. They are not authentic communities. Bitcoin.com and /r/btc are (some) reasons why I'm optimistic for Bitcoin (Cash).

Cryptocurrencies need to be perfected and projected so the unbanked can be banked.

People earning less than the equivalent of one fiat dollar per day need to be able to access electronic cash.

Oligarchical systems (including most all large financial systems - banks) have had a chance to bank the unbanked. They've failed and mostly only demonstrate destructive greed.

Bitcoin (Cash) seems to be the one cryptocurrency that has a real potential to scale to serve hundreds of millions of individuals in the most efficient time frame possible. Lightning seems less likely to work than larger blocks. Seems like (a successful) Lightning implementation might be vaporware.
