Since the inception of Bitcoin there was always the need to inform new users of what Bitcoin actually is. This became harder from the moment Bitcoin became worth something and the gradual influx of "get rich quick"-ers. Then the Blockstream/Core coup took place and defiled and perverted the Bitcoin fundamentals, name and the r/Bitcoin subreddit. The need to inform and educate new users became a fight.

But even then, there were the ones not really interested in learning; the arrogant and dimwitted; the ones who just follow the fabricated narrative. And, later, the censorship, shilling and astroturfing casualties.

We see this again with the SV "followers". It's so VERY obvious what's going on but nobody cares because the history is obfuscated and it's easier to just follow the BCash and BAB screaming nitwits because it's more drama and seems like fun!

The "Crypto" space has nothing to do with crypto anymore. Hell; "Crypto" has nothing to do with Bitcoin anymore. The decoupling was successful. There are now:

  1. The screamers, idiots, shills, astroturfers and their followers (Bitconnnneeeect! BSV! Bitcoin Core!).
  2. The ones that know what crypto can do and develop and grow their vision (Golem, Ethereum, Lisk et, al.)
  3. The original vision of Satoshi to have an immutable, permissionless, trustless, cheap, easy to use, decentralized peer-to-peer cash system for the entire world. This happens to be Bitcoin Cash and most of the community consists of the ones that were here from the start.

My point is: There is still an influx of "new blood" in the crypto space. Some of them are willing to educate themselves and will see what's going on in group 1, 2 and 3 fairly easily. I welcome them.

Most of them are just stupid and will inevitably will fall in group 1... They are not worth my time. So... are you willing to learn what Bitcoin is about? Then you are not stupid. I will try and help make sense of the clusterfuck that Bitcoin seems to be right now and so will most of the users in this sub. Are you part of group 1? Go away.
