What's in it for me as an individual

Hey everyone.

Lately I've been getting interested in cryptocurrency and after asking around and doing some research I've settled with BCH as something I like. If I'm not really interested in investing (aka crazy BTC gainzzz), why is BCH good for me? I live in Europe, I don't really know any place I could use it. I have savings in my native currency which is going downhill year after year, if that counts something.

So my question is, why (and how) a regular working man should use BCH as opposed to fiat money?
Oh and second question, is the bitcoin.com wallet for iOS reliable and good?
