Yahoo Finance Now Offers crypto Trading of 4 Cryptos on Its iOS App

Yahoo Finance, one of the world’s major news sites for actual market information and stock quotes, has added a new feature letting the crypto trading on its platform.
According to the company statement, the firm has been currently supporting trading of 4 types of assets such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin everything on its new iOS mobile app.

The announcement came among many tweets online indicating the service seemed to be also obtainable on the desktop form of Yahoo Finance although, the feature is not noticeable on desktop browsers at the instant. Yahoo Finance mentioned in its announcement that it further plans to prolong the service to the desktop, Android and mobile web platforms in the future.

For the new feature, Yahoo has teamed up with TradeIt, a platform that assimilates with brokerage services to act as a hub for trading financial assets. TradeIt notably integrated with the U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase last year, according to a statement at the time, however, it is yet not clear which brokerage Yahoo is associated with for the new offering.

Yahoo Finance declared on their Tumblr account that according to Joanna Lambert, General Manager of Finance & Tech at Oath as the leading provider of financial data, insights, and editorial content, the company is constantly looking for ways to better serve audiences on the Yahoo Finance platform. She further added that it is letting users trade on Yahoo Finance for the first time ever, further relating passionate community of investors with appropriate utilities on the trusted platform.

As per the news published in CoinDesk, the service first began its partnership with TradeIt in September 2017, allowing users carry out in-app trading of old-style monetary assets. The revelation to crypto trading at the time was imperfect to data on portfolio and prices performance.

The site first started pursuing bitcoin’s price in 2014. In 2017, the company extended its price tracking service to cover more than 100 crypto trading currencies across all its platforms internationally.
