Where the devs be at?

I've been looking for support in BCH since I got here (a lil' over a month now). The read.cash community has been fantastic! surprisingly though, reddit has not.. (I mean that from a dev perspective)

TL;DR—is there a "centralized" platform where the devs gather to share?

i'm obviously a big, BIG fan of decentralization, but NOT when it comes to information sharing. it's been discouraging to NOT have a place to go to get answers. (to what I consider very basic questions)

A few weeks ago, developer.bitcoin.com sent me the MOST lovely email welcoming me to the community. In closing they said, "If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask by replying to this email." .. so I DID! but I have yet to receive a response. (perhaps busy with the IFP and its update)

the question was, "what's the deal with your REST api? is it free? for anyone? forever? i see no mention of keys/authentication .. this is just another example of things that look too good to be true? is BCH too good to be true, you would tell me, wouldn't you?"

i've been "a bit" critical of BCH since I landed on 20.1.1; because I'm eager to validate its "truth" (after suffering the lies of Blockstream), while ignoring the glitz and glamour. (both of which are in abundance -- much to my delight ☺️) Why? Because I'm here to BUIDL shit!

bottom line is, I need a better understanding and I don't always know where to go. the "comments" from the read.cash community have been pointing me all over the place, and I've been "slowly" gathering the knowledge that I need (sometimes it just feels like dumb luck) to understand what I'm doing right or wrong.

I get BTC .. and I get ETH .. but BCH is sorely lacking in developer support.

(reddit COULD NOT POSSIBLY be the primary platform for developers to share, learn and grow their knowledge .. what am I missing??)

2. https://bitcoincash.stackexchange.com/ (makes me sad this doesn't exist)
3. https://bitcoincash.slack.com/ (note: a billing exemption requires "special" approval)

I'm more than ready to help with organizing an effort to this end...
