He wrote a speech that was converted to a book, called War is a Racket
Not only that but several books were written about him, about how he uncovered a plot to turn the current president of that time (Roosevelt) into a ribbon cutter with an executive position behind him that made all the decisions.* "The reason for the plot was the election of President Franklin D. Major General Smedley Butler said his time served was only used to benefit the bankers, to wrench dollars out of American blood, war for profit. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. [1]
This leads to the most current wars... Iraq, Libya, Syria All wanted to end the use of the petrol dollar. Which is what is keeping the dollar from inflating as much as it should.

The role of the US is to be the bankers watch dog, to war any country that threatens the system. To collect debts, and to make countries banker friendly.
Whenever the banks assets are in trouble, the US will borrow and war itself into debt and destruction even when the cost is far higher than the investments in those areas. Treaties are used to leverage it's power and laws over other countries, while they focus on controlling our news and information.

You see, there are two teams on the field of life. Those who want external control, and those who want internal control.
If you have sound money, and a government that represents you, then they don't have control of you. So they attack you physically, mentally, and financially in order to overpower you. They control thought by manipulating the news we see and education we receive. They control the mind with chemicals and destroy the mind with the food supply. Chemical-Agro Companies (Monsanto/Bayer) want to patent seeds so that we cannot grow our own food. A great documentary about that aspect is The world according to Monsanto

They also control the medical system, and withhold potential cures/alternative treatments for Cancer. Here they block Burzynski from using anti-neoplastons as a treatment (similar to drugs that turn off cancerous genes) even with successful FDA trials. In Cancer is serious business. A book about the subject that I recommend is "Racketeering in Medicine"
