First Blockchain Music Festival In San Francisco https://ift.tt/2KpsIW6

Tickets for the first blockchain-powered music festival are said to be currently on sale.

Planned for this fall, the Our Music Festival is propelling its own virtual currency — the OMF token — at its debut occasion in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza. It will be the first music festival to process booking charges on a live blockchain application.

The festival intends to develop on the Ethereum network and expects the occasion will interest the city’s tech cloud. Pre-sale tickets begin at $25 and can be obtained as standard digital passes from crypto.ourmusicfestival.com and ourmusicfestival.com utilizing U.S. dollars and cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, Litecoin). General tickets are being released tomorrow beginning at $29.

The festival’s site has declared the line-up, will highlight electronic dance musicians Zedd, 3LAU, and Matt + Kim, hip-hop legend Big Sean and pop singer Charlotte Lawrence. The one-day event will be held from 5 P.M. to 11 P.M. on October 20.

Featuring artist 3LAU, whose genuine name is Justin Blau, is Our Music Festival’s brainchild. He is supported by a group of music and digital currency veterans from Creative Artists Agency, Paradigm Talent Agency, Spotify, Billboard, Prime Social Group, CID Entertainment and SINGULAR DTV to organize the festival chain.

Our Music Festival imagines a decentralized, end-to-end, direct-to-customer music ticket pipeline that makes free market activity completely transparent and ticket users digitally verifiable to advance pricing on all sides, which Blau claims are not supportable without blockchain innovation.

Blau included that ticket holders will get tied up with a tokenized ecosystem where they can digitally exchange upgrades, merchandise, concessions, and pries through all-in-one community portal coordinated into the blockchain booking stage.

As reported by Coindesk, Blau joins the list of VIPs who share an enthusiasm for the alternative financial system. The ongoing flood of star power has led many to believe that mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency payments is coming soon, yet others stay suspicious.

Trey Ditto said that Blau is really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about virtual currencies.
