I believe in the future keeping ones own keys is always going to be like keeping cash in your house. Not safe, so we will still feel safer with our bitcoin in a bank. Banking your Bitcoin will be no different than banking your dollars. Just like when you deposit your dollars in a bank account the bank doesn't store your specific dollars in a box somewhere for you it loans your money out and your savings account balance is the banks debt to you. Same will be with bitcoin. You will down load your banks E-wallet which wont have keys stored in them but will tell your bank to send a certain amount of bitcoin to this or that merchant or person from the banks private key/address. We will never need to own the keys. Of course with Bitcoin the great thing will be to always have the option to store money in a personal address and have the key for it if you wish.
